Canna Start for clones in coco

Experience? When I transplanted my clones from rapid rooters to solo cups, I gave them a feeding with Start and Rhizo. They look lighter green than I think they should. Should I be going straight Canna Coco A+B according to the feed chart instead of Start? I'll do pics later if it will help.

Just use canna's coco a+b at 0.6-0.8 ec (depending on u tap ec) for seedlings and add rhizo 1ml/L, not the 2+ml/L they recommend. No need for that much rhizo, and no need for useless start bottles either.

I use both start & rhizo after my clones/seedlings have roots & are transplanted in cups . 10ml start & 10ml of rhizo per gallon of RO water .comes out to about 225 TDS . when they're transplanted to bigger pots is when i start feeding them my base nutes . its made a helluva difference in the root mass sense i started doing it this way :)

Thanks man. Do you add cal mag to your RO water? I've been doing 1.6ml/gal (8ml/5gal) of cal mag to get to 150ppm.

nope .... don't need it with the nutes i use . if you feel you need it ... then use it . just use it at low doses like you are . some base nutes need calmag where others don't .check your base nutes & see if their made for tap or RO . if they're for tap ... yeah you'll need calmag .

Canna Start is a simple solution to that 'awkward' phase when you might feel uncomfortable giving a seedling/clone a dose of A/B.
12-15/ml Start with 12 Rhizo should do it. Always drain to waste; at least 10%. If they're rooted well, they can handle a hot dose of Start. I've seen fresh cut clones dipped in gel root in Start 15ml/Rhizo12ml, although it's not advised.
Use it until you get a few good nodes or a couple sets of 'mature' leaves.
You can always use A/B if you feel comfortable mixing a couple milliliters here and there and gradually bumping it up. It sure can be done.
Good luck.

Canna Start is not useless at all. It s a mild full profile fert with ideal rstios for young rooted cuts and seedlings. Almost all big greenhouse growers have a ag salt mineral nitroent with ratios geared for new starts. In common practice in the hot house vegetable greenhouse industry using drip fertigation in huge rows of rockwool and coco coir slab bags. Rooted cuts and sedlings need a different nutrient profile than mature root structured plants. Using full blown nutes and just diluted...its not ideal and the micros especially take a hit. This is much more practised with big ag greenhouses than a "grow" and "bloom" nutrient. For bloom..most of them jist cut back slightly on nitrogen and bump up potassium amd magnesium sulfate. But they absolutely use a seedling/cutting starter nutrient. Canna is just going with what they have researched. HDI in Lnasing Mich has one too called Clonex Seedling nutrient. The numbers are low..but it still capls for 4 tsp per gallon just like Ionic. Its not necessary for what we do...but more ideal.
