Growing in LP aero
temps: lights on 68-70 lights off 59-60
RH- 50%
Light: 1000 watt hps - air cooled about 28-32" above canopy
Ph: Don't have a meter :( Usually don't need one!
PPM: Same as above
Nutes- GH 3 part. 5ml/g micro 10ml/g bloom and a tablespoon of koolbloom into a 30 gal rez.

I have grown this strain for awhile in a few different setups and usually get this leaf curl to a minor extent.

It always starts on the top leafs usually closest to the light. Which made me always think it was from heat stress/high intensity.

On this batch it seems to be affecting more leafs than usual. And not just the highest up/closest to the light. Was hoping one of you vets would have a good idea.

Only thing I could think of was potentially magnesium def. or mag. locked out due to low ph. Although it doesn't show any other mag. deficiency signs, with the yellowing leafs and darker veins.

Other possibility I thought of- Cold temps causing this?

You can really see it in this pic. Most of the leafs are curling up or sticking straight out at the tip of the leaf. This pic show a couple pointing down, but they are the minority.

You can see some of the ones on the edge are still very happy in this pic.

I always seem to get this curl starting around week 4-5 when I switch to bloom nutes. I switch from 5-5-5 to 2-6-10 for a week and then 0-5-10 with a bit of koolbloom for week 6 and 7.

Hope I gave you guy's enough info!

The batch 3 weeks behind them that is just finishing it's last day of veg nutes, will appreciate it if you can figure this out!
They aren't showing any curling. None of my veg plants ever show this, and I never see it in weeks 0-4 of flower!

No leaf curl for them, yet! Up to you guys to save them! lol

This leaf is on the same plants. Shows now signs though. It is lower down on the plan though.

Go back to baseline maybe?

0,5,10 is pretty weak for a 1000w... not sure how much the koolbloom is adding. Powder or liquid?

Mix up a batch of 0,8,16 and skip the koolbloom. Apply the koolbloom in powder form only once or twice during bloom. Takes a while to dial in your strain to find when to hit it in the first few weeks... the second application is usually a day or so before the 2-3 week fade.

pH has to swing between the range your plants like best... GH nutes work best with a full pH swing.

Your water so hard you can't put that much nutes in? Did your water change in the last few weeks?

I don't know why someone down-voted your post?

I appreciate the thoughts.

The city water supply readings they sent out most recently had an average of 90 ppm or so. Don't really know what mine are.

I'm using dry kool bloom. Usually only 1 or 2 tbs. into a 30 gal rez. I use it the 3rd or 4th week of flower.

I just never thought I needed to go up to 8-16. And while adding kool bloom I wanted to lower the lvls a bit.

I'll set the 4 weekers at 8-16 today and see if I start to get the curl or not in the next week or two. It's nice being perpetual, you can zone in on your issues quickly.

I have upset a few folks on the boards. :) My karma speaks for itself as to how helpful I've been though. You can rest assured I don't lose any sleep over it. lol

You'll find 0,8,16 to be pretty nice under a 1K... even stronger if you have a massively heavy feeding indica. I can see the reasoning behind running a bit shy... when using the kool bloom, but I've gotten great results with throwing the booster right on top of full nutes.

Never used what they recommend though. Start at 1/4str and gradually bump up until just the very tips get crispy... that's enough to make most strains fatten up and weigh nice.

I wish I had your tap water. Been buying R/O for 10 years now... still don't have a machine. LOL

I've got girls that look similar. They veg beautifully with the fox farm nutes plus superthrive. At flowering I add 1 tsp/gal epsom salts because as soon as I see a few flowers, BANG! Taco time, and it happens regardless of the epsom salts, it's just worse without it. I also have mothers of 2 different strains in soil, same issue. My best guess is my RH is very low. I'm at 9,000 ft in the rockies and it's very dry here. In your case, I'd think 50% RH seems pretty good. Perhaps it's just a trait of that particular strain/phenotype? In my case, it's a cosmetic thing. There doesn't appear to be any other problems and I'm still getting fat, rock-hard buds.
