Has anyone found their Sativa Holygrail?

Yes I found mine many decades ago but then I lost her for years. Once I relized just how important she was to me I changed my life to not only find her again but to have her forever. High altitude Colombian sativa, is all I'm about.

Dot have a grail but I experienced that feeling when I was newer to smoking..the plant that did it was silver haze ..till this day is one of the best tasting and greatest highs ever

Bushmans (Herbaria) X Thai82 (Green Hornet)
Smells of bitter orange and licorice with spicy and sandalwood undertones.
Yields good, very resinous, finishes in 10 weeks.
Easy to grow indoors. Never displayed intersexed tendencies.
Puts a perma-grin on my face and my head in the clouds, nothing hurts, everything is beautiful.

Hi i haven t' got any picture but i grow it several time indoor and like it like anything else the cristal clear highand the high is very happy"(less than tom o haze) the yield is not so bad for a sativa, it need a good cure to be ok.There no celling

the angola pheno are the small one with "square" leaves. the tall pheno is thai pheno.


But i m not an heavy smoker , i smoking one's a week, a couple of pin joint, i like strong one but i can t handle devastating stuff.(but angola thai is very very strong)

I don't know that I believe in holy grail plants. I get bored if I smoke the same stuff again and again. Grail pools maybe. When you find a family of genetics that for the most part delivers what you're looking for it's probably worth exploring beyond just a 10 pack or two.

I had an S99 that came as close as anything has so far to being a grail type plant. It's given me the baseline against which all others are judged. I appreciate a variety of sat-dom highs but particularly enjoy racy and psychedelic. I can roll with a number of different flavors but at a minimum it has to have the ability to spin me outta my chair and make me wanna lay down for a couple minutes.

grail phenos within strains within strains well cured. look at the difference within afropips malawi compared to ace's malawi. look at the difference in pheno's within these two malawi strains.

due to the "dutch invasion" many of these are truly endangered strains.

the problem with sharing or trading these gems is that the guy who put in all the work usually gets pimped out and someone else makes a shitload of money on some righteous dude's risk , efforts, expense. the seed biz. is notorious for this.

there are some strains available from seed co.'s and there are groups of ppl working together with "team players" forming tight inner circles.

interesting ongoing saga re pure landrace strains.

I would look into tom hill's haze. Do a search here at the mag for what tom calls the "clean up on isle 9" pheno. I had a very similar experience when I was younger with a haze that a friend was growing. I've only met a few people that have experienced this, tom hill and sam the skunkman both confirmed this effect can be found in the haze line, though it's going to take some serious searching. Tom has been trying to stablize the pheno for years, so that's probably your best bet atm. Aside from that, i'd start looking into landrace african lines.

Double Thai?

I'm thinking of the reports I've read, this one of the Double Thai sounds good to me. I like the references to Dream Like/Oneiric State.


The ability to enter into a trance/dream like state for me is the key and is something I noticed from the best shroom trips. Being very still and quiet facilitates the slipping into a deep reverie where the world and your body gets forgotten. It becomes less about racing introspective analytical thoughts and more about a different state of being.


So I would want to look for one Koh Chang leaning plant for the introspective and trance inducing experience and a Meao Thai for a
more energetic up cocaine party buzz. Anyone have any experience of this strain?


For the people like myself who have quit for a while or smoke rarely it will be easier to have these peak experiences as shown below in this report.

Let's start with a few pics of a dried bud with almost 6 month of curing in glass jar:

The buds taste like they smell,something of a mix of catpiss,spice like curcuma and citrus/agrum.The smell is medium,as the taste.It reminds me vaguely the lao sativa i grown before,let's say they smell similarly.


Now the most important is the high...if you are a heavy smoker with a high tolerance you will find her to be exactly like the description,energetic at first then dreamy high with a long duration.




But if you are a light weight you will be blasted like never before...i will try to tell you a little story,a personal story.I did stop smoking cannabis this summer for some reasons.I quit for 2 months.

Then i started again,slowly,very slowly...smoking only a stick (one little leaf filled with pure weed) once a week,generaly sunday evening because it will blast me so much that i have to stay quiet at home...the stuff was so potent that each time i smoked a whole stick i ended like a zombie,clear minded but blasted,lost in my head...so low tolerance that actually i did need only 2 to 3 puff to feel the energetic effect only and not freak out...

After a month like that,i told myself next time i will smoke a bigger one,two leaf collage,double amount of pure weed,just to see what the effect will be...oh man,what i have done...the smoke was exquisite,my tolerance was a bit higher so i feel an energetic rush just as i finished the joint.5 mins later i did feel weird,my vision was distorded, like i was pushed back,this very strange feeling made the world different...I decided to go sit on the couch,high on tv...as soon as i sit myself,i feel my heart goes so fast i tought i would die,an up as you have with mushroom in fact...it stopped,my vision get more distorded,i had a lot of fun looking at tv,no matter the channel,could have been funeral advertising that i have found it funny.Suddenly,i feel sober and then the heartbeat comes again,stronger,really stronger...the tv became boring,and i was a bit anxious due to those heardbeat,so i look at the window to change my mind(still on the couch) and then visions started to come as the hearbeat slolwly disappear...i have a great panorama by my window,but i much say never i seen it like that...mountains became golden colored and i was jumping from one to another,just like a giant,my body was still there on the couch but i couldn't feel it,and i see myself almost flying behind those mountains...

Another strong heartbeat come and the vision stop.I feel like i was very very stoned,tired.It was 3 hours since i smoked.So i did go sleeping,and believe me the morning after i was still stoned...This was the first time i had this kind of effect using cannabis...I think it's comparable to mushroom trip but more enjoyable and with another kind of hallucinations.A true shaman weed.

So if you ask me,this strain is well worth the wait.Kudos to Ace seeds and Charlie Garcia to make such a gem available!

Well, to be honest the tropical long flowering sativas doesnt sell so nice like 8 week indicas That's a fact and that's maybe cos we are not a mainstream seedbank but i think is very important to offer a work of this kind due the lack of genetic diversity/availability of this tropical genetics in today's commercial genepool.

I havent started the new double thai selections, i did lot of work with the tropicals (hazes, haze/thais and double thai) in 2011 season so the work is already done for a few years, at least till stock lasts.

I like most the Koh Chang Double Thai phenos although they are extremely slow flowering (even slower than haze!), but amazing quality and much better aromas and effect than meo thai expressions.

Welcome Quitters, genetically, koh chang is a first generation lowland thai while cbg's meao thai is a highly worked (many generations) highland thai.

Both share typical woody, lemony, spicy classic thai aromas.
Koh Chang mother is maybe more oneiric and meao thai more energetic. The F1 cross between both lines is a must for thai lovers.

kali mist... i have only about 10 years of growing experience, but i never smoked any stronger stuff, what i mean by commercial is what generally sold on coffee shops in amsterdam and kristiania.

the kali mist effects was very trippy, but i think you still have to hunt the sativa pheno what have pretty compact buds, grows little taller than rest but yields more and have strong spicey taste of peppers.
though i would not say it is the holy grail because it has some bad effects as it is trippy it is same time very unsocial and if you are the type of person who likes to smoke all day long it could get you in the other worlds in your head.
i destroyed the pheno to protect myself as i did not trust my self not smoke it too much

Amnesia haze. For sure. It has the most oily consistency and it tastes like citrus creamsicle. One of my all time favorites. Smoked it first at the cannabis cup in 2008 in the dam and i couldnt believe my eyes let alone my taste buds. Crazy unique high also. Sparkles like crazy with intensely long trichomes. Needs 10+ weeks. 11 is perfect.
