New LED Light

Last night I added an LED lamp (135W LED Grow Light Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar 135 Watts Flowering) to my current grow.
I am running a small space 2x4x7 with a single HPS 400W lumetic and I am about two weeks out from my harvest All of the flowers were showing very bright white flowers no orange or dark pistils. My cycle is on at 5:30 PM and off at 5:30 AM and I turned on the LED at about 8:00 PM. Went to bed and got up this morning to just check everything before going to work, every single flower had orange hairs on them, this was so noticeable that it shocked me!
Is this normal? I can't believe the LED did this in one night, but I have no other explanation. I mean it was drastic, not bad but just quick.
A little input would be good!

I do not think the Blackstar is capable of doing that much. They are not extremely powerful. I have four 240UV (130w each) sandwiched between a DS400 from Advanced (much more powerful) and want to eventually replaced them for some more DS's. Did you monitor your temp/humidity/environment to see if it changed?

what is the likelihood it brought temps up or moisture down? doesnt seem like it should have enough 'far' spectrum to do that much in one day?

My 2 pence.

Maybe nothing, but.....
As the plant grows the energy production systems within the plant adapt to the existing lighting.
If you change the lighting?????
Unpredictable results!

Just a guess.

idk about that 10, i was vegging under t5 and some mh, then i began flowering under a 300hps while i was waiting on my LED panels to show up and they were under the hps for the first 3-4 weeks then i abruptly switched to LED and mine look AMAZING. i have spotted a few brown hairs instantly but only like 1 or 2 per budsite. maybe its the proximity to the panel? they really are intense lights. quite impressive to see in person. i am blown away by how bright they are and mine are only pulling 175 each! i cant imagine some 400w draw panels. say hello to the eye surgeon for me lol

Well I would say that it had to be the introduction of the light whether it was the additional heat and the light combined I don't know. Each flower had about 5 orange hairs on them and I would say that maybe it was the introduction of the extra red a blue lights.

I have 6 different veg spectrum I have put plants under and 7 in flower and I never noticed an issue taking a plant from one spectrum and placing it under another. So far I haven't seen any spectrum related issues that I can iron down to just one panel.

The only thing I do know is they eat a TON with LEDs and deficiencies need to be watched more so than with hps or at least for me it has been that way.

Now I haven't had an hps or mh vegged plant that I then put under LEDs either though... So that in itself might be where the real effects are noticed. I need to do some side by sides with mh and hps vegged plants and see what the affects are when tossed into different led flowering tents.

Great thoughts and topic guys and gals.

High temp will brown hairs quick, not sayin that was ur situation but might be.

this might hold some validity..

what happened no one can for sure say, but they didn't magically ripen overnight, that is for sure.

consequence always follows cause

As I was running the HPS with a full size fan all the time the temps usually sat at about 78 constantly. When I brought in the LED it boosted the temps up to around 83 so that was a five percent temp increase. Also I placed the LED at the same level as the HPS lamp as it would have blocked if I set it any lower.
I will take a pic tonight of the placement. Just to clarify I am really excited about my LED and can't wait to see what having both on the next grow will do.
