Great to know the nanners shires can throw are viable. Your flowers are awesome flowers!

I had a Shire (SSSDH) cut flowering and it threw a nanner so I plucked it off and hit the C99 BX1 1IX mom I have and got 5 seeds.

I germed 2 and flowered them out. Plant 1 is stretchy and has a sweet smell to it. It didn't really impress me much. Plant 2 wasn't as stretchy and during flowering it smelled like the Shire (SSSDH).

Here is the C99 BX1 1IX x Shire (SSSDH) Plant 2 after the first run from clone. I ran it 70 days. If you just smelled the buds, they had a sweet smell to them. It isn't until the bud is touched/broken up that the Shire (SSSDH) smell is released.

the cabinet has 5 different c99 bx1 ladies in it so they all kinda meld together... overall its a pungent tropical/sweet/over-ripe fruit type smell... I think a couple of them have what you could say is some pineapple to them... very nice I love opening things up and taking it in... definitely no skunkiness... true to what I think you would expect from c99

from my experience and the c99 plants I have had my hands on - I think yes I could say that there is a bit of that in a couple of my plants... not full on rotting meat of course :) i haven't grown any original bros grimm, but yah.. I have a hard time describing it specifically you know what i mean? its kinda subjective, they all are complex and vary from just smell coming off the plants to smell when you rub stem/leaf and then of course smell of cured buds. Its very pleasant tho...

^ Absolutely beautiful! Great uniformity.

Cindy fan right here. These pics are of a Powerhouse x C99. Powerhouses lineage is DCxC99. Bluish pics were taken with a 6500k cfl.

Loving those C99xDC hybrids. Reminds me of the peyote purplexC99 crosses I am growing out. Yield and frost get a big boost on most of the offspring of that pairing. The affect seems to have gotten nicer too in that it adds a bit of body sensitivity to it while keeping all the euphoria.

I forgot about this thread. I was just going over my seed collection trying to decide what to pop next. Looks like I'm going to have to pop some of the C99 x Butterscotch Hawaiian beans I made last run. The F3 C99 mom I used looked almost exactly like NE Growers pics

i'm growing a back cross of C99, the mother is known as pineapple cut, she's maybe 16 years old, and she was dusted by it's proper F1 mâle ....anyway , the BX1 is very resinous, maybe 50% of the plants are almost white, with a very distinctive arôma...... the best strain i had to grow....

very nice grow big how much veg did they have and what's the details on your setup

peace

thanks, from seed planting to flip was about 2 months. I veg under shop light flouros so sometimes it takes a bit longer to get going, and I took cuts as well. Flower in my lower cab under 400w. Its all organic, recycled soil cut with homemade compost and worm castings. Mix in a dry organic fert (3-8-8) when making up the soil and then supplement with liquid fish/seaweed (2-3-1) and occasional molasses through watering. I did an ACT after potting them up into their flowering pots.

It gets a little cold in my garage during the winter, not too bad really, but I work on the temps by adjusting the exhaust fan speed from time to time and I have a heat mat on thermostat in the flowering cab that at least keeps the roots warmer.
