How many people here actually have meaningful jobs which they enjoy?

Apart from Gypsy and few other lucky growers most people don't.

The more i grow and get to know this place the more i realise what a dull existence this is.

I have been barred from obtaining my ideal job.

Even growing weed is out of the scope because its illegal.

I have been told to look beyond. Ever wonder who else is up there among the stars? My only hope lies with them. I'm no yummy bud but all my dreams and hopes have been crushed, no job - and no meaning or purpose :(

* Planet of the Apes.

Life itself is beautiful.

Life is indeed beautiful. To enjoy it, you don't have to love your work. You do what you have to do to survive. Work for me is like long distance driving. A task I do with my automatic pilot while my mind attends to other, more interesting things.

Enjoying life is about perception. See the illusion, see past the illusion. But you still have to eat.

why do you think you should have a job that you "find meaningful and enjoy"? did someone tell you you earned it? do you not believe that anything you do every day does not eventually lose it's "shine"?

life has been a bitch for a very very long long time and the only reason we are still here is nobody thought whining about how things sucked would change things ....... they got on with life and tried to enjoy what they could

if you think life has really gotten harder you should read some history

it just seems funny to me that the satisfaction levels have gone down as the "pussification" levels have hit record highs

not trying to kill anyones buzz,
but who the fuck told you life would be fair ....... or fun?

Who told you they can demolish this world like a toy lego castle?

Yep , thats about right. Many people do jobs they dislike just to get by. I would like to quit my job, be a writer, start a cannabusiness etc. I have a wife, 2 kids and a mortgage and I dont have the money or wealthy background to help me. Depends how old you are aswell. If you are young you can do what you want, there are no excuses. If you are old it gets harder to do new stuff. I find the less I strive for material things the happier I am...if you are obsessed with careers and money its hard to appreciate the really important things...

That's false.

There are plenty of excuses.

Let's say you got kicked out of your house at 16 years old by your alcoholics parent, had to drop out of high school and get a job.

Well, you could go back to school but in most country, even if you do go back you can't go to college because an adult diploma is worthless. Why? Because the government likes to screw people over.

So in the end, you're stuck working 90+ hours a week at minimal wage or you have to think outside of the box to make something out of yourself.

yes a lot of people including me had it like this or worse..sounds like 'Angelas Ashes' ...but you have to deal with what you are given. Yes its mean and unfair. But what else can you do? I mean its possible to emigrate, change jobs etc easier when you're young..if you don't like your job..that was the point I was making..prob didnt express it clearly....:ying:

You sure do. I guess i just had to rant a little bit, a lot if not most people are stuck in this situation and have to deal with it like everybody else.

happiness may be more a matter of loving what you do rather than doing what you love...work is the tool used to pay the bills and hopefully have some funds left for fun or your own special projects...

IMO, the best projects don't have a boss, a customer, or a need to make revenue..

I started out after high school apprenticing to become a master cabinet builder. After 5 years covered in saw dust in a hot warehouse with no air conditioning in Florida I said screw this and went to college and then grad school.

Now my job is to find elegant solutions to very complex problems. It's a lot of fun. It's never to late to do something else.

who told you that sniveling about reality made anything better?

why did this thread go from not loving your job to some huge power pissing in your soup? do you think they are going to stop because your pussy hurts?

why do you post when you are on your period?

and just so you know ......... it was not me who found that post "un helpful".

i don't want to upset you while you are cramping

Odds are that if you have enough time and money to post online in a forum, you're breathing and have enough food to eat or have a computer or smartphone you can sell to get food.

If you don't like your job, find another one.
