I didn't see anything on this yet and was curious to the board's reaction.

I absolutely love, love, love that Paul Krugman has come to the defense of this idea. I'm a little disappointed that the idea was officially scrapped, but I guess I'll have to wait a little bit longer.

The fact that the Ivy league golden boy economist was on board and that this idea was seriously being entertained in some circles speaks volumes for where we are and where we are going.

Krugman is my hero. The best and brightest America has to offer. Him and his like kind continue to pad the bank account. Carry on my dear Krugman. Please carry on.

So what would you do with a trillion dollar coin?

Certainly not invest it in education or health care.

I think Mitt Romney pointed out we need more aircraft carriers.

Will that buy more than a couple though?

Krugman would be thrilled with the prospect of having more aircraft carriers too. It would help ward of the alien invasion he was talking about and war would boosts GDP which by his logic is a good thing.
