First grow: 400W over a 2'x2' ebb&flow [Harvested]

A little background: this is my first "solo" grow experience. I ordered six seeds originally and started 4, but neglected to water the rockwool starters enough and killed them. I ordered some more, but opted just to go ahead and run the two seeds left over, since I wanted to harvest before the holidays. I started a Pineapple Chunk and a SAGE.

(Apparently I am limited to 5 pics? I will just leave the URLs in with hopes of making them images later.)

Overview

Week 13
After week 13 the Pineapple Chunk was harvested, and almost after 15 weeks the Sage was harvested.

~

The first plant, Pineapple Chunk, was harvested about a week after my last post, at day 62 of flower I think. It was a low yielder, only 50.4g, and not very dense nugs. I think part of that was the high temps (consistent 80-85 during the day, 75 at "night").

Nugs. Roots. I am pretty sure the brownness is mainly from the Liquid Karma after asking about it. It took two days to dry, and it's been curing since. Started to gain a lot of smell back after a few weeks.

The second plant, SAGE, took another week and a half to get to where I wanted it (80/20 cloudy/amber). Holiday plans made it a little too stressful to let it ride out any longer.

During first trim.

I'm way happier with the yield with this one, and it was in general a much healthier plant. I didn't top it, and the main cola got massive. 151g off of it.

Nugs.

Its roots are still in the hydroton, I don't know if I feel like doing that again. Hydroton is a pain in the ass to get out of a root ball.

The trim pile in the last pic was popcorn nugs and some of the sugar leaves I didn't remove in the trimming before they got dried. I cut it all up to make it more like shake. It was about 19 grams, and I decided to do a WQISO run.

First run.
Second one before completely purged.

Obviously I stopped after that... I have no way of measuring that yield, but it's a decent amount.

So in total, 201g from my first run under a 400W light. I'm not too disappointed, I have a decent list of stuff to do differently next time. I'm currently starting four AK48 seeds and rethinking my ventilation a bit to bring temps down below 85.

Hey
your grow looks nice, you should have defoliated them a bit tho
that would contribute to a better yield and denser nugs. ;)

Yep, I'm gonna do that this time, I got WAY too many little popcorn nugs at the bottom. At least it made a little bit of QWISO hash for me to experiment with

Nice! Ran a PC last summer - did not like the heat - at all. Hay all the way.

Yeah the heat is the only part I'm struggling with since the tent is in the laundry room. The new plan is to exhaust to the living room adjacent to it, and let the central AC deal with it. Hence the jerry rigged duct muffler.

Thanks guys! Got some seeds starting in rockwool, haven't decided whether I want to do "live" updates this time.
