Scary map shows where drunken driving is worst

We already know that New Year's Day is the deadliest day of the year for pedestrians. There's no mystery why: On a normal day, drunken driving accounts for 32 percent of all traffic accidents — but today, it's a whopping 40 percent. This scary map shows where in the U.S. drunken driving is the biggest problem — basically, the darker blue the area looks, the worse it is. New York City, Memphis, and Salt Lake City fare well, with fewer alcohol-caused accidents, while the Bay Area and Pittsburgh are coated in blue, showing a high rate of sloshed drivers. Call a cab, people!

Houston-Woodlands area is bad.

They do not play around here either. On site no refusal blood draws.

Jail time is extremely common.

I say .08 is to low for blood alcohol level. Should be .1 for men at least. This is just a new game leo likes to play.

what level of force are they authorized to use to achieve compliance?
Whatever they feel like doing bro. This is H-Town, cops don't give a fuck about our illusionary rights. At least they are honest and don't pretend like we have rights I guess.

The H-town PD is being investigated by the FED's at the moment. There was a rash of innocent people killed over the last few months. One teenager, one older lady, etc etc. None of the officers got into trouble.

Corruption runs deep here.

They will stomp your ass if you catch one of them in a bad mood and get lippy with them. And do so with impunity.

Wow, look at the 5 corridor, ALL the way up and down the west coast!

I'm a complete and total lightweight when it comes to alcohol. I'll smoke your ass under the table, but a glass of wine..? night-night!

Hey Fly, that's a "responsible" drinker. Drinking on the tailgate and all.

Looks like the guy that toke SeaMaiden out for that ritzy dinner. LOL

in the old days I drank real hard, I was sober while I worked in a bar until 4am ~ 6 nights a week, usually on that 7th night of the week I was getting a DWI.

I got 1 DWAI (DW-AbilityImpaired) the lesser charge as my 1st offense & then 3 more serious DWI's in short order the 2nd & 3rd of which were automatic felonies in NY.

As I was appealing DWI #3 (my last one) the officer involved was killed in an accident w/a very good friend of mine, they tried to hang a DWI on Joe that night too but I had served him one drink (Vodka/grapefruit) @ 9pm & then one more @ 1:30am and he drank no more than that. The cop swerved into my friends lane @ hi-speed hitting him head on, Joe was buckled up & the cop wasn't, c'est la vie.

Joe's Monte Carlo? the frame was so bent/torqued up that the front driver side tire sat 4 feet off the ground and above the roof line, I snuck onto township property (@ Joes request) to photograph his car and was chased away by township employees, too fuckin' late, got my pics and right to his lawyers office.

State was forced to drop its DWI case against me but not before accusing me of being in collusion in trying to conceal the truth about Joe' drinking that night. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks (hurt bad) and they had blood draw evidence immediately after the accident due to the dead cop on the scene, no warrant was needed. They had NOTHING yet tried him in the press (Joe sued ABC News & won) and they attempted to fabricate evidence against him, Joe crucified that local PD in a lawsuit too.

Joe was a good friend & loyal customer, I was able to have his favorite roast beef sandwiches (made by me) delivered to his hospital room almost every night by other friends and sometimes by me @ 5am when after work I'd just stroll into the hospital wearing my cooks whites anytime I wanted.

EDIT:
btw, the 1st time I saw Joe @ the hospital he looked up @ me and said, "I've been wearing my seat belt for years, waiting for it to pay off."

this was true, he was perhaps the only one of us that always buckled up even way prior to mandatory safety-belt statutes.

those were profound words he spoke & they convinced me to buckle up thereafter. I always have an uncomfortable or vulnerable feeling if I'm motoring along w/out being belted in.

Lol, anyone notice that the entire greater Washington D.C. area is sloshed in blue? Is it a coincidence that this is where a high concentration of politicians live?
