Day 3 12/12

Day 3 12/12

Thanks so much for the comments guys. I'm so happy that you're all still on board to count down the days with me! It's gonna get real exciting from now on.

After I flipped, I made some mods to the tent as I usually do at this time. Swapped out the 130w CFL bulb and chucked in ol' faithful, the 250w HPS! Temps have been ok so far. We've had three, 40°C+ days down here in Oz (104°F+) but my AC unit in the grow room has managed to keep temps in the tent below 30°c (86°F) so can't complain.

Now for some pics:

This first pic was taken on New Year's Eve, the day I flipped
Took some pipe cleaners to the girls to keep things getting out of hand

Here we are at day 3 of 12/12 (Took these next few pics yesterday)
This girl is my fav so far, Vesper.

And Honey bushing out nicely too

Here's a shot of Vesper's main stem being LST'ed down
It's completely horizontal now

picture.php

Here's a shit quality shot but it shows how the HPS bulb is sitting in the tent now
I pushed the girls' pots apart a bit to improve air circulation

Hey Penguin, those ladies are looking nice and bushy and I noticed your tops are already getting that glow from switching to flower. They are definitely responding very well to the flip.

Can't wait to see some buds! Believe it or not I know this is a popular strain but I've never seen white rhino up and close. I'm guessing they are gonna be frosty as hell.

You're absolutely correct Krazy, they are responding super well to 12/12. My Aurora Indicas from the last run were looking a bit worse for wear for the first week of 12/12 but came good after that. These White Rhinos have loved every second of 12/12 so far :plant grow:

Will save some frosty heads for you very soon mate :tiphat: I hope they're as frosty as advertised.

Is that a bowl of water between them for additional humidity?

You got it buddy! It takes about three days for the water to completely evaporate out of the bowl and it just keeps the HPS heat in check.

Thanks Ozz_! Totally agree with you mate. I'm extremely pleased with how well they're responding to the LST. My last run I had heads going everywhere! It's so much easier to control the canopy now.

Vespers looking mighty sexy tied down in the horizontal like that.

Yeh I've got my eye on her! Once the stretch is finished I'm gonna shave these girls' legs too :muahaha:

Sucks to be limited to just two plants, but on the bright side, they are the most pampered plants in the world. I bet that very few people ever get things dialed quite that tight in their grow. It makes me feel dirty to look at these pictures while my handful of broke ass beat up plants are huddled together in my tent. ;p

Vigorous is right mate! You should see them after only a couple more days of stretch. They're going beserk in the tent!

Cheers for your tips on FIM-ing too btw. I only pinched one top on each girl but they seem to have responded very well and are now putting out 4 replacement branches each :dance013:

If you have the time, I would highly recommend picking up some genes from the 'white' family; Nirvana White Widow in particular. Had a keeper girl from a fem pack of 5 seeds once but lost her a couple of years back :cuss:

Thanks heaps b00m! There were already sets of pistils forming on many different nodes after day 5, I think these are going to be two frosty ladies.

Will have a picture update for you on Friday :gday:

Thanks for the nice words EB. Too right on the shit plant count mate. It definitely gets me frustrated at times but the girls are treated better than most I guess. The LST becomes a work of art after a while

Hope your little ones are doing well too. Do you have a new grow log up by any chance?

Day 16 12/12

Day 16 12/12

Hi folks!

Just a quick update to show you all where I'm at. 3 weeks in already and the stretch has been very exciting to watch so far :) Noticeable growth after each day!

Here are some pics:

Three weeks after the flip
picture.php

I'm having some trouble with Vesper here on the right. Have noticed a bit of yellowing on some lower leaves which could be to do with nitrogen
In the middle of the picture I think is a magnesium deficiency also
Let me know what you guys think???

picture.php

The taller colas in the background are from where I FIMed her and you can see she's gone beserk!
I think if I had have pinched all her stems it would have been a nightmare to control in this space by now!!!

picture.php

Many pistils forming already
Have also noticed a distinct lack of large fan leaves on both of these girls. I'm wondering if this is normal?

Hey Brother,

looking really good, If you want to know if you are over feeding, flush the plants over a bucket to catch the run off and check it with a ppm meter, and check the ph it wouldnt hurt. But if you ask me I think you are doing well Plants look good. As you move further into flowering you will find that your fan leaves will be gradually fading to yellow. The leaf structure will look okay, however the colour will change.

Peace
