Do seeds continue to develope in polinated buds if switched back to 24 hour light? If not what happens?

Good thinkin! I asked.. the aswer was yes, they will continue to develope. This is good news for one with limited space and a lot uh stuff.

Have moved plants from 12/12 to 20/4 with no issues as long as they had spent two weeks in flower following pollination , mature seeds pushed out as she revegs.

Same cut moved into 20/4 a few days after pollination produced seeds that looked the same but had low viability , stood a pinch test but malformed and unfinished inside , new vegetative growth faster and sooner at the expense of the seed ?.

Imature seeds from this cross can be pulled and germinated as low as +12 days from pollination , by +14 it seems the plant is hormonaly committed to finish regardless of drastic light hours change.

The only bad seed i made was on plants that were moved outside or back into veg soon after polination , after two weeks never had a problem wherever they ended up.

This is purely from observation of one cross , but if those seed were important i would wait two weeks in 12/12 to be safe .

This is all pure logic Mo.

The plant will focus on finnishing the pollinated seeds while not creating new calyxes but instead focus to reveg the other parts of the plant that ain't no calyxes. (wich is a hard thing for the plant to do in that stage.)

I've done this before with pretty much the same outcome as foomar, lots of immature seeds if pollinated and re-vegged straight away but if you let em flower for 4-5 weeks(8 week indicas) most of the seeds will finish before full re-veg kicks in,sativas will need more time as they develope alot slower.

here's a time wreck pollinated by a male ripped bubba at harvest time and put back into the veg room. works great especially if low on space

think these guys have say it all. I too have done this on more than a few occasions. Doesn't seem to be any problems with germ rates. But it works just fine

Peace

Very good to know. That was a great question. Ive never thought of that before. I did keep a plant in veg for 6 months as a mother plant, a few pre-flowers had developed nice mature seeds while in veg as it was in a closet I used for breeding and there must have been some pollin that I didnt clean thoroughly. The seeds were reg's and gave me a nice F1 hybrid cross of Purps male x Super Skunk female in veg, LoL I just washed the cuttings before rooting them to get off any pollin then washed again before putting in the flower room.

I've successfully made seeds on an autoflowering plant while under 24 hours light.

I got hundreds of seeds and the progeny is nice. I might have found a couple of immature seeds but for the most part (99%+) the seed was mature.

I like to polinate the plant when it first shows pistils (preflowers) in veg. Then when you switch to flowering, and you are a couple weeks in you have mature seeds already and you can see them easily because they are in the preflower calyx's which are usually hanging out alone on the stem as opposed to being part of a cluster where you might miss it.

It is important to spray the plant with water after pollinating in this way because the pollen can stay forever it seems if you don't wash it off; and as we are talking about flowering this plant after pollinating it you don't want a seedy mess. this is more of a way to get some seeds and then grow it out sinsemilla at the same time on the same plant... and then you can crack the best seeds before you even harvest the parent, as soon as you identify a keeper
