Blue or Full spectrum light for Seedlings?

Trying to get the general consensus here. Just the blue side? or use full veg and flower mode, with the plasma light? I'm going for taller girls, and currently have 10 hours full spectrum and plasma, with about 10 hours just blue.
About to switch to 24 on with supplemental cfl for a couple weeks, to help keep them stocky for their first month.

Thoughts on blue light to full light time? Using progrow 260 with 50w plasma

Thanks

red can give you the stretch you are after but be careful on how low that full spectrum is to those seedlings

Blue=less stretch and bushy roots.(small tap root)
Red=more stretch and more predominant tap root.

Unless you know the phenotype really well, a full spectrum would be recommended.

Tenthirty is correct. You can follow those general guidelines, but strain/phenotype will play in.

I am partial to good spectrum coverage (full).........

How close would you advise Medmaker?
Thank you Tenthirty...I didn't know about the taproot and spectrum preference. Do you know of any good specific info on that?

So general is yes to full spectrum all the time?
It's about 14 in. from the tops at the nearest, and have seen no signs of burning.
Anyone have specific distances on plasma light energy dissipation/distance rate? I want them to have the most possible, without frying them. Those things are painfully expensive, and I want all the use I can get from it.

The girls have had no water for the last 2 full days, and I expect that would cause light burn to show more easily/readily...? Not sure here, so feel free to call me a wanker if you actually know. Just so long as you provide the answer.

The strains are:
Sugarmantha Seed Smurfberry Auto Fem
Dinafem White Widow Auto Fem
WOS Afghan Kush Rider Auto Fem
TH Seed Critical Hog Fem x2
SG Seed White Russian Auto Fem
WOS NL + BB Auto Fem
G13 Labs Gigabud Fem x2
BB Seeds Critical Mass Auto Fem
CC Seeds Boss Hog Reg x2
Ch. 9 Seeds Vintage 06 Fem X2
Sativa Mix Reg X5
Positronic Seeds Cum Laude Fem X2
Most about a week old now and just starting to make their first real set. A few are just popping the surface, all with x2 one girl is week old, one is germing now...seed starting was staggered over 10 days

And around 35 old bag seed (with a really low germ rate so far) 8 at day 2 in towel.

Jesus man.......I could write a book.
Your question is way to broad and ambiguous.
There is a whole lot of reading and experimentation in the above statements.

Google plant biology.

That should give you a few rabbit holes to jump down.

After several rounds you will notice for sure what is good for your girls and what spectrum is best for each phase of growth.

I tried to germinate and grow seedlings under blue light only and I have noticed that something was missing as the roots grew extremely slow, even the leaves look healthy and dark. When cool white have introduced the girls exploded without any sign of stretch as a proof of benefits of wide spectrum.

As a personal conclusion, wide spectum with enhanced blue is more appropriate for seedlings.

mj does not have a "tap root". the root system of the mj plant is called a fiberous root sytem. a "tap root" would be like a carrot.

I have a 250w CFL (same as LED?) blue spectrum that I was thinking of using together with natural light from the window in the spring for seedlings thats is going outside. Should I then use extra light for more spectrum or should it be enough with what get from the window together with 250 CFL blue spectrum?
