First Course, left to right: Toasted hazelnuts, smoked Passmore Ranch sturgeon with Sterling caviar and creme fraiche, avocado mousse, fingerling potato chips.

Second Course, Dungeness crab trio, left to right: Dungeness crab bisque (gluten-free, dairy-free), Dungeness crab salad served on an herbed chilled hollandaise, and Dungeness crab slider on brioche.

Third Course, Terrine of duck made with duck mousse, caramelized apples, leeks, pistachios, and a layer of pork fat, topped with micro-arugula greens, sitting in a simple broth.

Fourth Course, Surf & turf, left to right: 36hr short rib, lobster, herb risotto and blood orange hollandaise.

And lastly, the "Fifth Course...Dessert, left to right: Meyer lemon sorbet, chocolate gelatto, sesame 'tuile' but it was more like candy, on top of chocolate & hazelnut ganache with sections of blood orange and Meyer lemon. Far right is a 'chocolate' bar, chocolate & Meyer lemon ganache with lemon pop rocks.

We forgot to log the cheese plate and palate cleanser! And I should have written down the wine pairings, just phenomenal and I got to try wines I probably never would have otherwise. E.G. that Reisling, just delicious. And that Italian wine they served with dessert, gotta find out what that was.
Oh. My. God. I just read the story because Dave said, "Al just said there was a shootout in Old Sac!" So off to KCRA dot com I go and good Lord. Here I was so disappointed with myself for not being made of firmer stuff and getting so sleepy with the wine served with dinner. Now... wow. There was a reason.were you guys at the Downtown Sac Shootout last night?
