I wouldn't give up, just grow them out and finish, you will learn ALOT just by completing the grow. You won't be sorry.

I agree. Finishing this grow will teach you alot more about growing vert than quitting and starting over.
Not to mention all the work you've done setting up the room

Well part of the problem can't be overcome- the strain is super short, dense, and doesn't stretch much. The plants are 3 months old and 15" tall on average. I also think that vegging in a 3.5' wide space with a 600 watt bulb is maybe overkill. The leaves closest to the lamp curl and crisp up unless I raise the entire lamp several inches above the tops of the plants, which seems to defeat the purpose of vert growing. For the time being, the biggest surface area is the top canopy.

Perhaps I can finish the vegging horizontally and then switch back to vert after I flip and do final transplants. I will have to assess the situation when I know how many females I have.

For now, I have removed the tables and put down some insulation on the floor to keep the cold concrete from sucking the warmth out of the pots. Hopefully I can flip in another week or so.

Btw- those 7 dollar foam insulation panels at Home Depot make great floors. There used to be a bigger temperature gradient between floor and ceiling in the tent and this stuff has plugged an enormous heat leak.

yeah ins board under the pots helps alot. in the winter sometimes my plants suffer from
too cold temps also.

if you have heat stress on those leaves I'm thinking you might not have good air
movement. or they are too close.

are you training them yet? that's the real key to getting the most out of your vert
setup. If you can make it work better by putting in a hood I wouldn't sweat it.
whatever gets the job done. I switched to horizontal in my tents as it's easier to
maintain for me and the plants get better care with less effort from me.
no shame in a horizontal game if that's where your at.

blaze up some of that sour dub for me.
