What's new

ca\mg def 4 weeks into flowering

Hi all so i have switch to jacks pro 5-12-26 & calnit and feeding ph of 5.8-6.0 @ 750 ppm .05 every watering in 100% coco. The only other thing i add is drip clean and pro-teak silica.

Now my veg plants and mother plants get the same thing every day and have no problems.

My tap water is 6.0-6.2 @ 25 ppm .05 so i have to add alot of silica to get the ph back up to 6.0.

Could i be adding too much k and pushing out the cal and mag.

But than again the jacks and calnit should have more than enough cal and mag in it.

I dont understand why only the flowering plants are getting this and not the mothers and veg plants that have been getting the same thing just as long.

Im getting the crispy brown leaf edges on the bottom of the plant than it drys up and falls off.

no this is p def and not ca/mg. i think maybe too much k is locking the p out even with adding drip clean every watering with the jacks?

iv got sum 0-13-0 bat shit should i start adding it now or just flush with drip clean the next 4 days?

the crispy brown starts at the tips than works its way around the edges of the leaves.

Phosphorus is an anion, meaning it has a harder time being absorbed by the medium itself.. You will have to feed more often as the medium wont retain P like its cation counterparts..

Certain cations, K,Ca,MG,Zn all will be attracted to organic matter and will build in the medium depending on the levels you feed..
