Another Strain Rec Thread: Non-Haze Sat Hybrids

Hey guys
About to be in seed ordering mode after a long hiatus

Looking for some non-haze sativa hybrids. 10-12 week types.
I already have SSH so I want something that is unrelated to haze. Also unrelated to blueberry because I have a few blue genetics already. Nothing too crazy, definetely want grower-ready hybrids not landraces. I

I've been looking at some of the spanish companies like ace and cannabiogen. Some of their stuff looks good.
Any advice?

looks like you answered yourself with ACE and CBG but not sure about nothing too crazy part. Kali Mist? I'd consider Mandala as well.

C99 or c99 crosses. Haven't grown the dutchgrown version, but I got Juliet (c99 x NYCD) from JLP many moons ago, and it had one of the tastiest phenos of anything I have ever smoked.

Also maybe check out the Blockhead IBL from Grindhouse or Agent Orange from TGA.

C99 has some haze in it right? Didn't it come from JH?

I was recently looking for a sativa with no haze or BB as well. Here are the ones I considered / got:

Chocolope: (if you can believe DNA, the parents are: chocolate thai
and cannalope haze (which I think everyone knows is just C99). Fast finisher with a decent yield and a really upbeat sativa high. Top notch (even if DNA is untrustworthy) - I got a couple 5packs of fems since the standards weren't available.

Shadowdancer: SMCGxChem. I couldn't find much info beyond an OD grow, but Gage Green seems to be an honest source from what I have been reading. I snagged a pack because it was at a dispensary and easy, otherwise, I'd probably still be debating it (hint to breeders: get your shit into the clubs!!!)

Panama: Certainly no haze here. Flower times might be a bit more than 12weeks I think. This is high on my to get list.

SAGE: I think this is BSHW x Afghan, so no haze there (although BSHW probably has some shared genes with haze). This is high on my to get list.

Kali Mist: I have lots of experience with her. You can find 10 week phenotypes, but the longer flowering ones (up to 100days) are best for a real sativa high IMO. Pretty easy to grow for a sativa - lots of vigor. Stretch can be controlled with MH. I don't have her anymore, but I'll get her again.

It is definitely hard to find sativas without haze or BB. Real interested in what others have to say on the subject.

It might have some haze in it, but out of the cross I grew I didn't get anything even somewhat close to "hazy"

I'd consider Mandala as well.

^ This. I recommend Satori, especially if you like it a little speedy! If not, then go with Beyond the Brain which is related to Satori but not as uppity. You won't be disappointed!

Satori is excellent. I've got a couple going now as my jars are getting low. C99 is at the top of my 'wants' list.

Ace Kalichina? an old Kalimist with China Yunnan. Not quite stabilized so it's a limited edition.

I've got some in my seed stash, dunno when I'll get around to it.

Mr Nice "La Nina" (Black Widow X Mullumbimby Madness)

Flowering time averages 9-11 weeks or so. Previously known as El Nino, Mr Nice "La Nina" is the real deal. Contains no Haze. One of its parents (MM) is a pure Sativa IBL (Thai X Colombian). The other parent Black Widow is half Brazilian Sativa, half S. Indian hybrid so contains very little Indica, and the little Indica it does have has no Afghan in it. La Nina is unrelated to most modern strains. Potency is through the roof.

Thanks for the suggestions, a few that I hadn't been thinking of where brought up

How's the taste on kali mist? I thought it was a haze but I know that a lot of times the dutch will just call any good sativa haze. I want something different than the citrus type taste of my ssh. I remember people describing it as "minty," does that flavor come through?

The ElNino I thought had haze in it as well, although I did read where they were now saying that it had MMadness in it. I know they said for years it was haze and nobody seemed to question it so I'm worried about getting that haze taste in there. I suspect it is something like ww x nh/mm but who knows?

Satori seems interesting...hadn't I'll have to search for some grow threads, never really heard of it

I've been eyeing ace's destroyer a lot
I also want to give a second look to some of the older dutch varieties like TFD's Real McCoy, Paradise's Swiss Bliss, ect. before I make my descision.

Satori's good, potent and easy to grow, but Kali Mist is what you want. The good ones taste like spicy incense. No haze. Thai, Columbian, Mexican and African sativas if I remember correctly.

Taste of good Kali is unmistakable, sandalwood, incense, nutty, fruity all mixed in together. Don't really see 'minty' in it.

Took my first toke of weed in 1969 and it's still in my top 10 favourite smokes of all time.

Peace

Resistant has a nice Satori thread going in the Mandala breeder forum right now. And the beans are only $50, if that matters.

The Mandala website has lots of good info on growing, etc... Worth checking out, even if you don't buy from them.

Lots of great options available. Have fun choosing. :joint:
