i've got myself an indica strain

i'm running 2 gal of coco with smartpots, i hand water with some runoff, 6/9 lucas ph at 5.7, and ec at around 600-700

i had these under a 4x2 8 bulb fluro 24/7 the tent was about 75-80F

they looked great in the tent with the fluro, i put them under 1000w hps for 18/6, but the room was somewhat cold 65-70ish with lights on

the roots look great, but the canopy looks retarded and im scared to put them to flower wondering what is happening and now they look like this, is it overwatering over fert? deficiency?

thanks everybody

i thought it was over watering but it wasn't its some sort of def, or maybe too cold? im not sure, any input is appreciated thanks

It's near impossible for anyone to tell you exactly what caused, too many variables. But will say this, on right track to not flower until they grow out of it.

What I can see is interveinal chlorosis and some purple stems. Looks like a deficiency probably caused by a lock out. My first suggestion would be to flush, check runoff. Add a balanced nute (hydro nutes are great b/c they have all micros too) and make sure root temps don't get too cold. It'll take a couple weeks to fully recover, then flower em. Its happened to me before...GL

50 is cold. P lock out from cold roots and will cause other nutes to not be up taken and also purple stems. Cal mag is also a good idea in coco. I know GH micro has lots and not supposed to need w the flora series but...

thanks for all the fast replies guys ! ok, so roots are too cold im taking it now, and yes ive been adding a little bit of cal+mag becausue they get really cal+mag hungry once they get big, i've already flushed it, and my phs are on point, so im thinking the cold root causing P lockout because of the purple veins, what should i do to get it warmer ?

Try a heater. And use a chem flush. Do u use drip clean? I find it keeps shit from locking up when im blasting my ppms

Yeah i have the same problem. And the temp is reading 60°f for a low. Ph is fine ppm is fine they just started showing the same conditions.

They look cold and HUNGRY. If it's too cold, they can't utilize nutrients offered.

I keep roots warm using what I call an Electric Blanket Sandwich. Too cheap to buy a shit-ton of seedling mats, so I got an electric blanket for about $30, folded it so it fits in the space. Fit that into one or more contractor bags, or use 6mil plastic taped up well (you don't want it getting all wet & moldy), top it with a very thin piece of plastic or ply, and you're off to the races.

Those who are saying it's temps+RH are spot on, IMO.

24/7 or time your lights so that theyll be on at night so you can fight the cold winter floor. Goodluck smoke post some pictures when they start to recover.

And to think I have a propane burning Green Air CO2 generator sitting in the corner that ain't been used in forever. Wish I could hook ya up wit it, but...

At a minimum you should place a piece of foam board or sumpin' under em. Water in with tepid water/nutes too. Maybe even at 85 so that it'll stay at decent temp.

ok, so i measured my res temps and they're at 50F, so im thinking i need to bump them to 65F, right now i have a heater in the room and im not sure if its doing it any good, but would it be better if i got aquarium tank warmers for the res? thanks

If the reservoir has a flat bottom you could use one of those waterbed heater mats. Completely unbreakable, though a bit more expensive than an aquarium heater.
