know quite a few more than 8% ,absolutly fukn brain dead lol sit there all bloody day couched locked. lil bit left tells em when there got to go buy steal more.

Gee, we must know the same sort of dead shit types!!!
Yep, 8 point loss is pretty bloody generous in my book. It used to be fun for a while, but soon enough you get the shits with that side of the culture. Lucky for me though, I started smoking 21 yrs ago, so I knew what decent smoko was before hydro was all there was, and the quality went to shit.

It's sad when you talk to smokers that have been going as long as you and all they want to do is be one with the chair. And heaven forbid that you may wanna have what I call 'deep stoner talks' and they give you the look that says "Will you stop hurting my brain?".

Well sooner than later now I hope to change that and get away from them deadbeats and just hang here instead, learning as I grow, and grow as I learn.

P.S. I'm NOT hating on the Indica's ONE BIT. They have their uses, just like the Sativas do as well. But the commercial crap we get here down under, well, to me at least, it's pretty average to say the least. Although the culture around the people you have to see to get on could also drag your IQ down a bit. As I say, I feel just a little dumber for having to put up with the deadshits I have to see at the moment each time I get on. But I reckon it's reversible. If it isn't, I'll just say it's the 8 points I didn't need anyway.

I was playing this brain game on the DS for awhile and I was unable to score at the highest level until I tried doing it after toking. I then beat all of it easily except for the memory games where I did significantly worse.

Really?

Please enlighten us with a few would you?

Not trying to be a total dick....but I would honestly enjoy reading them, just reference a few...I'll do the heavy lifting of the research and reading.

For the sake of everyone else, please stop trolling. It is a punishable offense on this forum. (Big shoutout to ganja_hasi.)

read back the post u quoted ...

He's an idiot and a troll. And you know what they say about arguing with fools...I made a poetic post to this effect but it was dissolved by the powers that be.

Because he claims he'd do so much "heavy lifting" (laughable), I even thought he might take the liberty of saving and posting some of the studies that certainly can be found in any online database accessible by most professionals, and by anyone who's attended college or university in the last several years.

He considers "heavy-lifting" reading the studies written by and posted by someone else. However, for someone who is illiterate I can understand how reading studies (heck, just navigating to them) could be considered "heavy-lifting." I wonder how he finds his way to the bathroom.

He is simply a troll. Apparently he slips under the radar because he demonstrates only a basic comprehension of language and the nuances of speech and writing, and uses lowercase lettering. He can't be helped and his posts should be ignored.

No evidence was found for long-term deficits in working memory and selective attention in frequent cannabis users after 1 week of abstinence.

Cannabis users displayed lower activation than non-users in brain regions involved in associative learning, particularly in the (para)hippocampal regions and the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, despite normal performance. VBM-analysis of the (para)hippocampal regions revealed no differences in brain tissue composition between cannabis users and non-users. No relation was found between (para)hippocampal tissue composition and the magnitude of brain activity in the (para)hippocampal area. Therefore, lower brain activation may not signify neurocognitive impairment, but could be the expression of a non-cognitive variable related to frequent cannabis use, for example changes in cerebral perfusion or differences in vigilance

There's days and days worth of information found in this journal:

Obviously, the properties of cannabis in its natural state are more beneficial to the human being than any poison modern science could create.

Cannabis medicinal extracts can improve neurogenic symptoms unresponsive to standard treatments. Unwanted effects are predictable and generally well tolerated.

Schizophrenics are smarter than you.
However, while heavy cannabis use has been associated with cognitive deficits in long-term users, studies among patients with schizophrenia have been contradictory... Patients with a history of cannabis use were found to have superior neuropsychological functioning. This finding was largely driven by studies that included patients with a lifetime history of cannabis use rather than current or recent use...Patients with early onset cannabis use had less neuropsychological impairment than patients with later onset use. Together, these findings suggest that patients with schizophrenia or FEP with a history of cannabis use have superior neuropsychological functioning compared with nonusing patients. This association between better cognitive performance and cannabis use in schizophrenia may be driven by a subgroup of “neurocognitively less impaired” patients, who only developed psychosis after a relatively early initiation into cannabis use.

I could do this all day. That's after approximately two minutes of generalized searches. With database access and structured queries you could probably find all of Tashkin's (et al.) and Mechoulam's work. That alone would be nauseating to the average robot.

Contemporary science, especially psychology and psychiatry, is scam science designed by snakes to be used by shills to seduce the public into believing that there is a rational explanation for the most absurd of claims.

Scientific results are purchased. Scientific studies are structured to produce said purchased results. Scientific studies are an investment. Psychologists and psychiatrists are the strong arm of the oligarchs. Does your thinking conflict with the party's line? Off you go, you are cognitively unfit for existence in our free society.

I don't trust "scientists" as far as I can throw them.

IQ - intelligence quotient. so if smokers IQs are 8 points lower, does that mean technically Im at 146 instead of 138? not to far off from getting the genius grant:joint:

Wait....What?

Still no comparison to alcohol, benzo's and opioid pain killers, or nastier stuff like crack, meth or PCP.

holy shit! i think dan may be on to something here.

.........is it possible that a government grant lowers the IQ of the people doing the study once the check clears ???? or makes them willing to skew the numbers to fit the script????

if my IQ was 8 points higher i could probably figure this out on my own ....... puff, puff, pass

I never did well in school, ADD? I don't know. what I do know is that currently I test @ 139-142 on written IQ tests and I scored a 129 on a verbal IQ test back in '06. I balked @ the 129 result until I was told & assured that the verbal scores are always a bit lower than the written score results.

Bravo, fair brother, Bravo! You and I are likely to have many things in common, one of which is a fair understanding for the medicinal uses of cannabis! I too, am a stoner for life! ;)
