New Cannabis Business

If you were starting a new Cannabis related business what would it be?Seedbank ? By the looks of the number of seed banks at Spannabis 2013 this looks like a growing market. Is the Cannabis market a 'growth' industry? Im looking for ideas tbh and have an idea to start a surrogate grow firm for people who cannot grow legally themselves. Would like to get the thoughts of business oriented icmagers.....?:thank you:

Here ya go...

This is for those who live in the 2 states that have recently legalized the weed. And for those who don't have a big chunk of money to invest in a larger sized business.

Two-pronged approach: One side of the business would be to grow the allowable number of cannabis plants for the individual on their own property, outdoor or indoor, and to get paid in a certain percentage of the harvest....say 35 or 40 percent. You would in essence be the equivalent of a landscaping company, but instead of taking care of the lawn, shrubs and trees on the property, you'd be growing their weed plants. Of course, there would be little particulars that would need to be done...like getting yourself insured and things to protect the property owners, etc, but there are already many businesses that have to do this to operate. You could easily grow one crop, with big plants, that would get you a pound or two for payment, maybe more, just trying to estimate on the low end here.

Then, comes the second prong: you take all the weed that you earn from these clients, and sell that to whatever business model the state has set up to sell weed to the public. I have no idea what kind of business would be doing this, not sure these states have even figured that out yet. Of course, you would need to get registered with the state to be a grower and all that, but again, these are the kinds of things many businesses are already forced to do to do business. And you'd have to pay taxes! Just like other businesses.

This would be to start out. Then save your money, buy some land, start growing on a larger scale. By that time you would have gained a bunch of experience in the field, made a lot of important contacts, figured out the beuracracy out, etc. Become a ganga farmer.

That is what has crossed my mind anyway.

yeah that seems a good model if youre in a state where you can sell to a medical facility.Im not in the U.S, im in Europe. I can grow legally but dont have anywhere to sell to. Im not a dealer and dont have any contacts for it anyway. what I mean is there must be loads of people with big surpluses with nowhere to sell to...:tumbleweed:

Not a seedbank....the last thing cannaland needs is yet another person with a couple of grow tents, some "Elite" clones and a bottle of colloidal silver calling themselves a breeder.

Like the gold rush... the money will be made in equipment and service sales. The growers are the ones that will get the shaft.

Seed company? Yeah! There's room for one.
Seed company that works landrace strains for these characteristics:
No tolerance buildup
Mood control
Memory function
Mental focus
Energy

A good daily smoke that doesn't necessarily get you 'ripped'... just pleasantly buzzed with the ability to move and work while maintaining an agreeable attitude and point of view. :)

Nighttime:

All of the above except sleepy instead of energy.

Those are the strains I'm interested in... these days. No longer interested in the super THC hybrids of late.

Other than something unique like that? Nah... no need for yet another seed company as there'll be hundreds more soon enough.

Call it a Tobacco vape, and put a sticker on it which says "Not intended for using illegal substances."

people pay gardeners now to mow the lawn, not much different, just make sure i have dank, probably will constantly plant fem autoflowers.

everybody is going to smoke hash or eat edibles, no need for flowers unless for trendy flavor and low effect.

hash cafes with gourmet edibles

homedepot and ace will start carrying full sections of greenhouse supplies and hydroponics stores will start having room controllers, monitors and web app services

farmers markets will have clone venders where performance and reputation will be the only factor

a WHOLE lot of people running the show now are going to be super upset about the standards that will be expected of them. most all are not up to the task.

You got that right. The little section of South Park I live in is going to change for sure. I can FREELY hand out samples of nugs to people... do you have any idea what a demand that will create for growing services?

The stuff around here is disgusting. WOW.

Here comes the change... :dance013: Here comes the change... :dance013:
