i've read a few articles that summarise studies that mention THC inhibits the growth of cancerous tumours, except their subjects are always defined as average tokers (i.e. one to three times a month)..

so i'm wondering if as frequent users we are "protected" in any way from cancers...

Please tell us if you know of someone who contracted a form of cancer and that person was a habitual marijuana smoker...

:thank you:

I only know cancer patients that start smoking flowers and oil. Their cancer goes away, but I have never heard of a cannabis user contracting cancer.

Also I call BULL SHIT on BOB MARLEY dying of cancer; I'd bet shit tons of money that he was killed by the US Government.

I don't know anyone specifically. I do know 5 people that have had various forms of cancer but none of them are smokers.

The metabolites of cannabis stay in the human body for months as a toxin. It is this 'soft toxin' metabolite which I believe may assist in the decomposition of more radical toxins in the human body. Cannabis may prove to be one of natures finest detoxifiers.

They had a study, following over 4000 people for 20 years. Some smoke cigarette some smoke weed some both. Those who smoked weed only shown no sign of cancer while others did. The whole video is around on youtube.

Nowadays their is a cancer politics and economy going on. 99% of the food in super market can give cancer, cigarettes kills more than guns in the entire world ! Alcohol is not too far from the tobacco. Pills gives cancer, and a bunch of make up product too, or body building powders and so on.... So yeah their's indeed a real politics of cancer ! Which generate huge profits for a very few.

Yeah, my buddy is 55, been smoking herb since he was 12 or 13. Heavy toker. He was diagnosed with malignant melanoma last year. Had a big chunk of his shoulder removed, along with some lymph nodes and a skin graft. Poor bastard has been on Interferon, which screws with his blood forcing him to take Coumadin. He can go off the Coumadin once he finishes with the Interferon.

Damn Welder Dan that sounds horrible I'm so sorry to hear that. I had a good buddy that was only 24 and began experiencing horrible debilitating headaches.
He went to the dr's and unfortunately it was brain cancer. It sucks I remember him tripping at first thinking maybe him smoking weed gave him cancer.

Then when he was told the cancer had metastasized he started realizing he was actually dying and started to smoke weed again. Shit was so sad man he was so young. He even proposed to his gf after he was diagnosed In Hopes that he'd get better, but his health continued to deteriorate. god sometimes life really fucking sucks for some people... I miss my friend so much I'd give anything to smoke one last spliff with my boy.

vertigo...your statement is wrong. If it is correct, ya gotta post some supporting evidence.

I've read a few different studies that points to an anti-cancer property in cannabis. I remember reading the study referenced above concerning cigarette smokers. The actual study was designed to find out the difference in cancer rates between cig smokers and those who never have smoked cigs. In the questions asked of participants, though, they also asked if the person had ever been a cannabis smoker, and at what level for how long etc. After doing the study they looked deeper into the data and discovered that the group with the lowest rate of cancer were people who never smoked cigs, but who had smoked weed. Basically, if you had never smoked cigs, but also had never smoked weed, that group had a HIGHER rate of cancer than the group who never smoked cigs but had smoked weed.

These studies can be found in the forum on medicinal marijuana here at IC Mag. I think the specific thread is started by a member called Granny Crow. I don't have time to go find it now, I have to get going with stuff.

But the claim that cannabis has anti-cancer properties IS backed up by scientific studies done at respected universities and such.

Smoking cannabis is not going to protect you from 'getting' cancer. Sorry.

The 'modern' diet is too antagonistic for the human body... most people are not healthy enough 'not' to become cancerous. Sad fact.

Eating cannabis or cannabis extracts or decarbed cannabis oils will definitely stop/remove tumors... given the source of the cancer is stopped and the cannabis has the right amounts of THC/CBD etc...
