Legal Weed!

Day 1, of year 1, AMP (After Marijuana Prohibition). Somebody needs to make some new calendars.

Even though I don't live in Washinton (although I can get there in about 15 minutes by car), I'm feeling all kinds of giddy today.

This is by far the biggest positive change in the lives of cannabis consumers in my entire life. The road ahead will be bumpy, but I don't think this big boat can be turned around now.

Here's the story:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/06/legalizing-marijuana-washington-state_n_2249238.html

Really makes me want to wake and bake....but I have way too much shit to get done today, and I know I won't if I'm baked.

But, everybody else should fire 'em up!

I'm celebrating today by rolling up a couple fat joints of my best bud, with a nice big dose of my most melty bubble hash rolled up in the middle. Since the mmj laws already allowed me to smoke legally, these are going to be gifted to a buddy of mine so that he can get stoned out of his mind legally for the first time :joint:

It's a pretty amazing feeling knowing that people I care about will no longer face jail time for personal-use quantities :D

There have been a bunch of stories in the news about this today, all positive, with overwhelming positive comments from the readers.
Closet supporters are coming out into the light of day for the first time and saying publicly that they think it's a good thing.
I think this was the tipping point we have all been waiting for(well, most of us anyway) and over the next 2-6 years the majority of the remaining illegal/non-med states will get with the program.

KICK FUCKING ASS

I look forward to the day when I can sit on the porch in my rocker smoking my pipe and sharing war stories from the prohibition days with old friends.

I have to admit to being quite impressed with the television coverage today. It's been much more positive and factual than I expected, with fewer lame weed jokes and dismissive comments than they usually include. It's not great coverage by any means, but it's far better than the usual :D

I walked down the middle of downtown Seattle smoking a FATTY...stinking up the streets. Bike cops passed n said nothing. It felt great. Mostly because nobody on the street gave a fuck! My boy and I just kept passing it and smoking!

We love to grow the most beautiful plant in the world, this site is our home regarding that love. Yet, we are warned by sensible folks here to NOT share personal information with other members, the chances of getting busted are real, and the penalties can for sure mess up your life. I've taken that advice and remained silent, without meeting any of my fellow growers (even though I'm currently without a garden...temporarily!), because ya never know when your luck is going to run out.

Won't be long before there will be classes/clubs meeting at the local community centers for like minded cannabis lovers/growers, where we can all meet each other, talk shop, etc etc etc and finally REALLY REALLY REALLY enjoy our favorite past-time.

It's going to happen, like somebody said, it looks as though the tipping point has probably happened. Ayecafuckingrumba!

I am actually legally baked at the moment. But I have a hurt knee !

I think that we are seeing a change. A change I have been waiting for, for more than forty years.

Congratulations Washington and Colorado :thank you:

I think the rest of the states (or most of them) will follow suit pretty soon.

Power to the People Right On !

I sat on the deck of my townhouse today and smoked the devil's weed with a girl I just met in the open, in open daylight, in front of everyone, with reckless abandon.

It felt awesome.
