Getting started

I'll be updating some pics of 3 under 1k with a light mover in a day or so. I think 5 in 25sq is a good number but 600 watts aint enough for 25 sq w/o mover. Names are suggestions at times but I had the exact same idea about what I wanted and found it in Blue Cheese. The absolute stinkiest sh*t and a dripping w huge trichs w a heart thumping high. Never brings ya down. Finishes in under 8 weeks. Buds are heavy as a rock but no huge donkey dicks. But who knows what strain I really got.

Every body has there ops.. lost my virginity to Mandala and Nirvana. So glad I did... no need to go expensive when starting out and most of mandalas strains are very forgiving.. Will buy an occasional project ( high end pack) to play with but cut your teeth on something cheap and easy.....Peace!!

I agree 100% with this point. Have grown indoors 4 times now and each time I have used Seeds from Nirvana's stock. All four grows have been an easy, pleasurable experience. These plants will give no troubles whatsoever to beginners and the end product is always wonderful.

Have never tried GHS but have tried Barney's before and the same can be said for them.

Heading into my 5th indoor grow now and now that I'm a bit more experienced, I'm moving into the connoisseur genetics lines with the likes of DJ Short, Shantibaba and Tom Hill.

I think it's good when getting your feet wet with this hobby of ours to start off with a small plate and then progress when more comfortable.

Those strains you've chosen sound very good too bodhi__!

ok so best strains for you that ive done would be hollands hope, northern light, powerplant, ak47, kc36 (one of my mega faves!), cindy 99, purple power and power plant. ive done them all. great spread between indica and sativa %'s super short flowering time and VERY hardy plants :) also this will make it so you can divide your harvest into a couple session so that you dont have to cut them all at once :) if ur looking for a longer flowering plant have to go with candy kush or NYC sour diesel :)

awesome post! which bank did you buy these strains from if you remember individually and how were your grows? I considered purple power but was not too sure how it would respond indoors. I figured since i am putting it in soil it won't matter but some clarification would be helpful. Will growing this strain indoor produce a sufficient yield say a few ounces. Not looking to grow an outdoor plant indoors and end up with 12 grams that jus would not be efficient for me. I am very interested in your experience with power plant, purple power, c99 and northern lights. Will be checking out the others you mentioned as well both those seem to be catching most of my attention.

At this point I'm most positive I will have a NL haze 5 or NL strain along with a c99. Looking for 3 more to finish.

I would skip greenhouse seed company. Plenty of other better genetics available for the money.

I would recommend checking some more grow logs on this site and make a better decision based on people's grow reports. Tons of great information to be had and you will feel more confident in your purchase.

Glad I checked this thread cause I want to get a super uppity and trippy haze going and thought greenhouse was the sh*t when it came to these kind of hazes. Who would you recommend? And what strain? I have always grown from clones passed along.

Power plant bulks up the last 2 weeks of flower. it had a sativa like growth pattern and a very almost lime green look to it. smell was a little less than ok. high was light and uplifting

Purple power was like the hollands hope. it was a high indica structure with a very relaxed stone type high. giggily but couch paralyzing effect lol very purple in cool temps!

c99 was a nice plant personally didnt smoke but other enjoyed it. had a strong structure that i put a scrog produced great

Northern lights was an awesome strain also. very high yield had a strong tolerance to mold (same with hollands hope n purple power) great quality grew like a high sativa hybrid :)

Lots of good hazes out there. I believe amnesia haze from soma has won some titles but I haven't tried it yet. I'm personally after the pure hazes so Im gonna grab Tom Hill haze and a few others. Super silver haze is amazing as well. I need to grab another pack of those. Sam the skunkman has some great true haze hybrids. I'm still working with his original haze x skunk #1.

would you happen to be talking about power plant or purple power plant. the alter I am hoping/ thinking because off the sativa characteristics you stated. how was your yield ?

Quick ventilation question, this is a closet grow and I will bexhausting from the tent into the closet, the same area my intake air is coming from. Is this ok to do or rather I should ask will any complications arise from this situation. If so could leaving the closet door open help things? ventilation is my most troubling subject in this whole operation and clarification of this would be fantastic thanks.

NL wasnt bad.. more of a body stone .. not something to smoke and then go socialize you just too smashed .. but a great first strain i never had problem with smell. it just doesn't have a strong smell and hardy great for beginners.. the next seeds i was looking at getting are actually c99 bx1 and ive heard it is a pretty hardy strain too i would go with c99 bx1 depends what you like i read a review on it and it definitely more of a head high something im looking for in my next grow.. i just like getting high popping some eye drops to clear the eyes and go out and do shit

Agreed on all points about NL5

It also makes a great breeding stock as the NL5 may exhibit a great uniformity across the plant batches. Of course it helps to start with a large batch but even a couple seeds are wonderful.

sorry for re-posting i cant edit yet lol. I just wanted to say i saw tga on the front page. tga plants are always dank, good yielding, great bag appeal and stones. I was just driving around yesterday burning a G of ripped bubba kush, this bud has a very slow onset (5-15 minute creeping) to a powerful high. It is a very smooth smoke with slow curls of candy smell rolling of the J. Then after 20-30 minutes the potency peaks with some numbness and a very relaxed yet aware final effect. High lasts a hour or two.
