I think that it was a no brainer to drop the Bushmaster and other products like that after I FREAKED out asking why they thought it would be okay to give it to anybody with a health condition.

But... On the soil side... they are scared to switch, but they are more attracted to the possibly money saving aspects and healthier plants... this all means more money.... but to me... if it can bring better meds and more money.... That is where you have a game changer for all involved

Good on you and the clinic - a tad of education can go a long way if in fact clinics are actually concerned about offering 'medical grade' cannabis. Not much of a goal with the so-called clinics in Orygun - hopefully Washington does a better job. Had the Oregon ballot measure passed it would have put the growers in a Catch-22

"Ya got the legal pass to grow and now the State of Oregon will treat this exactly like any other agricultural crop"

Be careful what you wish for when you fail to read the legal fine print

The 'soil deal' is the hardest mountain to be climbed. What passes as 'soil' at indoor garden centers is an abomination. #3 peat moss (not even Sphagnum), miserable 'humus' by any definition - this isn't soil. It's simply a bag of problems that will haunt the grower over the next several weeks.

But as one independent grow store told me, verbatim, "We really don't want a water-only soil because that's not where we make our money"

That is at the core of the problem - no one makes money selling soil. No one. That's why each and every soil company has to have a 'nute program' that has been 'carefully formulated' to work with their dirt.

Miracle Grow got that deal going over 40 years ago. Standard business model across the board.

I had a few quarrels with the dispensary when I grew for them. 1/ flushing is ridiculous and does nothing. 2/ why should flowers for medicine have all the bracts trimmed to look manicured when that is where the majority of glandular trichomes are? 3/ why are they calling GrowerX's product organic when he is growing in #2s and flooding with OMRI bottled crap?

In the end the members always bought mine when available.

why omri-certified crap? overpriced?

Just because someone is using nutes which pass someone's smell test as organic does not mean they are growing true organics/natural.

One reason I'll probably never get certified.

I just don't trust anything I haven't grown,or a buddy's stuff. Won't smoke it if I don't know what garden it came from. Once in an extreme blue moon..maybe.

Biodynamics is playing catchupcopycat with ancient nature growing by throwing fancy terms and magic potionceremonies into the smoke.

I should add that BD is definitely better than conventional. It is just the lordly attitude that gets me sometimes.

OMRI cannot and does not certify anything. Nada. Nothing.
We are committed to continuously improving our services. Products displaying the OMRI seal have undergone and passed a strict, independent evaluation to ensure they comply with USDA organic standards.

IOW, an organic product has already been approved by USDA NOP and OMRI is simply telling you that fact. For that they earn money from the manufacturer. If USDA did not approve it then OMRI can't touch it.

They are not a government agency by any definition. OMRI is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization [cite]

Yep - total scam

Which also explains from this perspective why some principles of biodynamics are functional...others....not so much.

What's the thing with your methods that doesn't get it certified? goverment doesn't like worms, teas or what?

What I actually meant is that I probably would not wish to be certified because it is often too restrictive. It varies from agency to agency (unfortunately) and some do not allow the use of ACT. or ACT made with molasses.

Some would restrict what inputs I give to my worms as being certified organic. There is no scientific logic to this.

I'd rather call my product(s) uberorganic.

UberOrganic.... I think I'm going to start using that. Thanks MM

I purchased a BioDynamic Oil.... Karanja and Neem.... You know the one... Storch oil.

Anyways... now that I know better... It's the first time I've ever felt I really bought snake oil.

Shit.. We should try that guys!!! Let's bottle FPE of Snake and sell it to the grow stores as a TURBO almost lethal boost to your Plants.

According to the friendly people at the first site google turned up "creating flowforms is akin to making musical instruments". They didn't list their prices.

I guess I'll just have to settle for an airlift.
