Best Genetics?

Best Genetics?

Hi folks,
I thought I'd crash this thread as you all seem to be on the same song-sheet.
What I'm looking for in a strain is pain relief & I was hoping for some pointers as to the best for that. Don't know whether the type of pain is relevant but it's chronic back & neck pain specifically.

I've never bought seeds. I've never had to, as I've always taken or bought cuttings. I've only recently tried to start a grow from seeds (see my other posts) & am about to continue my Cheese/Power Plant/Cheese hybrid grow. As you all know, you build a tolerance for a strain over time & I been smokin this stuff for years!
Time for a change!
I have now though, the space to have an additional tent to grow & flower up to four smallish plants. I plan to use this just for growing 'exotics'
I hear Moon Cheese & OG Kush are really good but before I send off for my first commercial seeds, I wanted to hear from those in the know - YOU.
Looking forward to your responses.
Stay safe :tiphat:

After trying over a dozen strains, I have to say my most dependable, mold, mildew, mite and catepillar resistant strain is casey jones. Also my best performer indoors. I tried a bunch of TGA strains and most got the dreaded m's, some very severe. Even the qrazy train that is supposed to be resistant to mold, got it the worst. Also my chernobyl's were all harvested on time but turned out tasteless with no aroma. The Dairy queen were great though and Chocolope and blue dream were also resistant. I ordered some Deadhead OG and Lost Coast Og to use for indoor and possible next spring outdoors. But i will also have cj going, vaping it right now, before it has even been cured and it is sooo flavorful and stoney.:blowbubbles:

we have grown a lot of seeds from a lot of the (supposely) top breeders... rez/mr nice/serious/sensi/csc/barney/bog/mosca and numerous others.. most of the weed grown was ok... def not great... and def not the 'grail' (which is diff for everyone)... after spending lots and lots of $$$$$ ... 15/20 bucks a seed..what a ripoff... so far the best weed we have grown and which was closest (in our view) to the 'grail'... was a seed from a buck or buck and a half seed that we got in a pack of nirvana's jock horror... by far (no contest) it was the best weed we have grown... but we grew it as a newbie...and did not take a cutting ... stupid/stupid us...

in my (small) mind it is all hype... for instance Connoisseur found this out of sight pheno in a pack of rez's sssdh... bullshit... i have grown both and both are ok.. is connosseur better... i can't tell the diff... maybe i found the same pheno that he found...

bottom line ...alll bullshit

Seems like so many of the BEST genetics threads always come around to ECSD. Most don't have access to Casey Jones and Rez Sour D IBL and they are at the top in any discussion of best ECSD versions. But one ECSD that seems to go overlooked is Cannacopia's Chuck D. Looking at what's on the Bou today for ECSD, I'd but 2 or 3 packs of Chuck D and run em all at the same time. Pick the 5 best males and 5 best females and make a bunch of f2s. Then grow those f2s out for the next 10 years searching for the perfect ECSD. Diesel dominates the Chuck D and whatever ECSD clone those boys used was the bomb diggity.

I'm gonna see if I can get some Chuck D.

Cheers.

Chuck D from cannacopia was a fucking joke. I ran it 2 years ago. 10/10 germination with only 2 females and 8 males. Both females were undesirable and tossed. I felt it was a waste of time to even grow them

They used the regular ECSD clone...nothing special. You want the perfect ECSD then get the clone or even a pack of REZ SD IBL...cannacopia is joke

No offense because I like chuck d, but you can see how easy it is to start little hype

Yes I see, sorry I didn't mean to start any hype, my point was that ECSD is one of the best strains. My other point is if you're growing a hybrid you're more likely to find better representations of the separate parents in the f2 generation. I've grown Sour D IBL, 4SD, Casey Jones and Chuck D and love them all for the sour and the Chuck D held it's own among the best for many desirable characteristics. I hit the Chuck D with Sour D IBL so now have Chuck Double D to get to eventually. A lot of the time the jewels in a single pack are gonna be in the males and consequently in the f2s. If you discard 8 of 10 plants because they're male well IMO you just threw away 4/5s of that pack's potential. But again my main point is to keep it sour baby, I loves me some sour. Good vibes, peace out.

Sorry I did not intend to start any breeder hype or hate and don't know the difference between the regular ecsd clone and the "perfect" ecsd clone. Nor do I know which breeder had which clone back in the day. What I meant was that ECSD is one of my personal most favorite BEST genetics and that it can be worked backwards out of a quality hybrid through creation of f2 generation and proper selective pollinations in successive generations. I'm on 4th generation of homespun Rez Sour IBL and keep finding better and better specimens going forward. In the original pack the best specimens were the males, so I used all the best males and made more IBL. My opinion is if you throw out 8 of 10 plants just because they're male, well you just threw away 4/5s of that pack's potential. I've got homespun Casey Jones f2s going now and you can definitely tell the difference between the ECSD phenos and the Orient Express phenos more in the f2s than in the f1s. I can select all phenos that lean towards ECSD and keep chuckin and eventually I'll have a closer and closer representation of H3ad's ECSD v3. The Chuck D gals I had were really potent and leaned more towards the ECSD mom that Cannacopia used. I hit em with the best pollen I had which was Sour D IBL so now I guess it is Chuck Double D. I haven't grown em out yet but can guarantee based on both parents that they are badass seeds. No sales rep here, I like 'em all, especially if they have ECSD.

Seeds

Seeds

Your own made seed's.

I seem to have ended up in just that position Skunkfunk.
I got thousands of seeds from my last grow. I been growing this hybrid - UK Cheese/Power Plant for about four years now. Amazing crop with the weight & big colas of the PP and real potency from the cheese. The last crop was fertilised by an adult cheese plant, hence all the seeds. I popped 5 seeds bout three weeks ago & got these four beauties.

The biggest one has got 11 bladed leaves and is just bursting with internodal growth.

I was so gutted I failed to take cuttings from my last grow but maybe things happen for a reason. You never know what you're gonna get from seeds. I'm chuffed to bits with how they look already & they're stinking up the tent properly!
I'm gonna donate a load of them to the seedbank. I keep you guys posted.
