I am sure somebody here can give me an average time frame.

About a week.

Thanks gingerale,
A week or two is what i thought it should be.

USPS first class in card envelope with $1.50 stamp?
It's going on over 3 weeks now...

Is this normal?

How long before the birthday should we send the card?

The hurricane weather could be slowing things down, but I'm still disappointed about how my friend is going to get his birthday card weeks after his birthday.

I certainly hope it doesn't take as long as my last seed order to get from the UK to the US. You would have to send a condolences card with it.
The friggin bills always seem to get delivered on time tho.

"Hey Jerry...I got some weed seeds here.
I'm gonna fuck with this guy."

Tosses envelope behind the bin.

So i have had a birthday card in transit to a location very near London since the 16th of October.
How long has that card been in transit now? ...38 days! That is 1 month, 1 week, and 1 day.

Now if my calculations are correct, it should get there in 10 more days (if im lucky).

When the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE tells you it will travel "First Class", they lie.
It goes by mule to a line of boxcars that are waiting to be stuffed with mail bags. Those boxcars will not roll down the track until they are crammed so full of mailbags the sides are bulging outward... then when they finally get connected to a little switch engine, they travel to another state to wait as another line of boxcars are crammed full of mailbags.
Finally they make it to the harbor and the contents of all those boxcars are crammed into a very old large boat that has to travel very slowly across the ocean due to the age of its boiler and the hazards of firing it to a full head of steam.
Doesnt sound very 1st class to me, but this is the mental picture i now see when a representative of USPS tells me "it will go First Class".
