I've been a legal med patient/cg/grower for 4 years now and after growing multitudes of strains am still looking for that old school piney smell/taste.

Anyone?

Classics Seeds Jacalyne is piney but not the old school way were all looking for. Some folks say Texeda Timewarp is it but I have no experience with that one.

If you find it give a shout will ya?

I have a un named clone that is an old affy that is dead on pine needles it smells like a christmas tree. it yields ok and will stick your fingers together, gloves are required

i would suggest looking through older seed lines of affy lineage that havent been touched by any thing skunk or og

I dont no how relivent this is but I was getting some buds of my friend who grows in soil that tasted really piney. I grabbed some seeds of him and grew them out in coco and not a single one tasted piney. I have heard in the past rumors of certain flavors only coming out in soil grown.

i grow coco all the way, i highly doubt it would only come out with soil,
yes probally tastes better, but it sounds like your seeds you sprouted werent the pine pheno from that batch

I've grown some strains with slight pine smell mixed with other subtle scents, but nothing like some outdoor herb I had years ago. It was straight up penetrating pine odor, just like pine sap, and very strong you could smell it through the bag. It tasted just like it smelled, I would love to know what it was.

That's how I recall the old mkultra. It's been 8, maybe 10 years since I had it... Or at least that's what I was told it was. Back in Vegas. Most Piney herb iv had.

Best pine I have had to date was a clone only called Rene out of BC.. The guys at Smoke n Seeds hooked me up with a bag the last time I visited them and HOLY SHIT, to this day it was some of the best herb i have smoked. This was back in 03 I think....

About ten years ago a friend came up from Florida and he brought a chunk of tan colored brick weed he had saved because it was "special". Special being, extremely good for brick weed, whatever... When we opened the tupperware, we got that piney smell we got with some of the yellow weed back in the mid seventies. We got some great strains from the seeds there but all were lost in the shutdown my bud had a few years ago...

The old school pine bud you seek was more than likely Nevil's NL5xhaze, the original is not available. An indica pheno of Jack Herer or silver haze may have the flavor you're talking about.

The seeds with the most pine for me have been Chunky Cherry Malawi from KOS. Some pheno's were pure pine on smell and taste, almost overpoweringly so.

Good luck on the hunt.

Another vote for snowcap. Had the cut for a few years and loved growing it. Always had that great pine smell that just reeked. Had to make some space and passed the cut to a friend who then lost it. Will probably find her again soon.

Strong pine scent, very sharp. Vintage bagseed, one of two that sprouted from seven
seeds found in the fold of a double LP.

rockinlespaul, philthy,
Does this sound like it?
Very unique soaring high. Pure pine. extremely sticky, bone dry but resinous sticky like sap.
The smell was so much like that of pinesol, it was overwhelming strong along the lines of "wtf how is that even possible".
I swear it had to have been soaked in pinesol it smelled EXACTLY like it. However once smoked it took on a totally natural pure and intense pine taste and smelled like straight pine sap. 100% unique high.
oddly this small batch had a very bland appearance, very dark green/brownish and thought at first to be just "really good mids/brick" but quickly realized it was very very special.

Could it have been snowcap?
