Stealth Dresser Design

Figured Id share this with all. I designed a grow cab out of an old dresser for one of my friends very easy to make and maintain. It uses CFL bulbs so fairly cheap to run and will work fine because he barely smokes. Any questions/comments feel free to post :)

Looks nice :) It's interesting how there is a separate bulb for every plant :)

Is that a cloner in the lower left corner?

looks good but i doubt the 6 in duct fan will have enough pulling power through a carbon filter to keep 11 light cool. Might have to use less lights or a better fan.

I've built a couple micro grow box's now and i find the hardest part is regulation temp without sacrificing light output. Also fan noise can be an issue if stealth is your main concern.

From my experience a good fan is a must and the cab needs to be designed around the fan. A s&p 100x would probably work with a filter in a box that size but its only a 4" and would need to used on full power (more noise)

been there, done that, lol.

...actually, mine was built just to house my mothers and his been in constant operation since i built it which was back in '08 i think, ...i did a thread on the build if you're interested. (the light is a 4bulb, 2ft T5HO that uses 4x 24watt bulbs for a total of 96watts although i mostly only run it with 2 bulbs)

What kind of fan did you use to keep those twin 150s cool? Was there a carbon scrubber inline as well or just a free flow? I want to run a cooltube'd 150w setup as well as a separate scrubber flow so I can use as little of a fan on the cooltube as possible.

Thanks!

yea my only worry was the 6'' pulling through the carbon scrubber and stealth really isnt his issue. we built but i dont have pix :/ the head from the lights was pretty cool due to a fan we put in to move the heat around and the flowering (upper part) will be off during the day (warmer time) hes down south so the AC runs 24/7 and is set at 70* so its leaves the room at roughly 83* which is high but still do able :) that is a cloner in the bottom corner (DWC) and a light on every one is just a CFL so rather have them over each one due to the lack of spectrum to have max production. we ended up with one over cloner and one over mother on the bottom also to cut costs
