Well this is really a first step in the right fucking direction. i live in washington, and we just legalized it. but as far as Industrial Hemp production goes....

I WOULD LIKE THIS THREAD TO STAY ON INDUSTRIAL HEMP, NOT growing pot!!! (for those that don't know, industrial hemp has only a 0.2% thc content and wont get you high).

Come to find out there are already like seven other states that have already legalized growing Industrial Hemp and NOBODY IS GROWING IT BECAUSE OF THE DEA!!!!

IN FACT, there are NO PROCESSORS of hemp in the u.s.a.!!! there is in Canada, but things are kinda strange up there as although they seem to be growing a little (few thousand acres) in central canada, there was only 8 acres planted in BC last year for some reason. Farmers seem to think the DEA will still take their property, as they can, if they start growing hemp. i think you can get your hemp up there to the processor, but whatabout that stupid dea? The only thing that we can do is Get mj in general decriminalized, taken off any drug lists. this is bullshit. i hope that Rand Paul and you guys in Kentucky can get something going on this.

dude, i dont know if you are aware of this but they are also making car hoods for Lotus out of hemp and it seems to be alot like carbon fiber. they have spray in insulation, the likes of what they spray on steel buildings for both insulation and fire retarding, although i can't say that the hemp is fire retardant. it' amazing all the crap they make out of it, and cooking oils and stuff, bio fuel. alot more than clothes! pretty cool!
