Advice on next years plan

HEY EVERYBODY!!!

OGuerilla here from the 40N. First time poster, been doin a bit of creepin(3 years). This spring will be my 3rd season in the bush. I grew bag seed with MG and got decent results. It'll be my first real grow with shit that has names. Lol

My plan:
10 8 Ball Kush
10 Spicey White Devil
65 gallon smart pots
Looking into organics
Guerilla grow
Start in may
Can visit up to twice a week

My questions are....
What soil do you guys recommend for guerrillas?
How big do you think these Betty's'll get(trying to determine smart pots or in ground again)?
What are your opinions with my chosen strains?
What do you guys think about the 3LB EJ recipe?

Any advice is welcome.

Peace.

Hey og

I certainly would nix the 8 ball kush. It has good potency but its an indoor strain and doesnt tolerate bugs, wind, or any other of mother nature's tricks. Its a small weak plant that you'll be hand holding alll season and with a full season grow, May - oct she'll reach 4' and yield 3 oz's. Whereas if you grew a blue widow or spontanica in that same whole, theyll yeild 1lb or more with the same effort.

I would choose strains that are outdoor and proven to produce. Its my view that the biggest reason for poor harvest are bad strain selection. Choose good hardy strains with vigor. Not some indoor bug magnet.

It may be different where you live, but organics are made of animal waste and food crop byproducts such as asphalpha, chicken poop, blood meal, bone meal. These animal parts attract coons oppossum and skunks that will dig up your plant to eat the soil their planted in. Around here, growing organics means no crop. it simply cant be done.

Little bity plants like 8 ball dont need a big pot. 10 gallon would be plenty. Spntanica needs a 40 gallon pot. Little strains dont have big root systems but big strains do.

These strains will never require insecticides as bugs cant/dont bother them a bit. All have good strong branches that wont break with the first thunderstorm or passing deer. Kc brains breeds for outdoor and ive honestlhy seen his bigger strains grow 6" or more per day for over 2 weeks. Theyre vigorous and can hold their own, but all need to be staked due to their size in the wind.

Biddy early from serious seeds- not the biggest yielder but sweeeettttt sweet!
\Blue Widow, Dinafem = fast, big potent, hardy, bug proof, mould proof.
Spontanica, Kcbrains. with root room and sun a true hairy monster - 12' with 2lbs of smoke. Tough as hell. Bug proof, drought resistant.
Sensi star. Not a big yielder but 20% potency. The most potent strain ive ever grown outdoors. Hardy and one of the most disease resistant plants available. Tough.
Pinnaple Chunk - barneys. Big, hardy, early finishing and potent as hell. 20%.

For me, no reason to grow anything other than Night Hail Ultra, Auto Lhotse and Karakoram Highway from Darwin seeds:)

Thanks guy. What do you guys feed with?
Have y'all grown any of them strains in smart pots? Like the fabric grow pots..
Now that I have been enlightened a little I guess I'm on the strain hunt again..I want something that produces big and potent as hell.

Pick one of those off of the list Og. I put them up there because ive grown every one of them repeatedly at 38n. The will perform well for you and give you a good yield of potent smoke.

I use water soluble nutes. There are tons of options on the internet., but if you visit your plants and they show signs of deficeincy, pour some water soluble nutes on and in 24 hrs, the plants looking better. Use organic nutes and it might be 2 wks before the plant is healthy again.

I prepare may holes in fall/early spring. Add 1 cup of timed release ferts. I return in early may, mix all up. Plant and add another cup of timed release mixe in the entire hole. This feeds me untill mid july when stretch begins and then i start dumping on high nitro, double doses until mid aug.

Early sept flfowering nutes start for 2 larged doses 14 days aparts. Thats done.

i recomend lots of perlite and lots of mulch for guerilla .
blood and bone meal are good too
peace

The blood and bone meal will get your plants dug up by critters when you have to guerrilla, this isnt a fenced back yard grow.. As much as I hate to say it.. Chemical ferts is the way to go when out in the bush.

you can also do the recipe during winter and use it when transplanting .
i have never had problem whith it where i live.

Nope, chemical isn't the only way to go for guerilla growing.
You can prepare the spots in the fall. You can use guanos or composted manures instead of blood and bone meal.
If they still get dug out, ammend soil just with perlite, wormcastings, seedmeals and trace minerals and you're good to go. Give them compost teas or plant extracts once in a while and you don't have to worry about any deficiency.
Good luck !
Peace, HJ.

Im going to dig ditches for water to reflect sunlight on my babies sorta like this.

plants here: >|< .... >|< .... >|< ... >|< .... >|<
_____________/\______/\_______/\_____/\___________
^then the ditch go like this, put some plastic sheeting down and pour in water, dont know how to else explain it but that plants will stand in lines horizontally and the water will be on the south side of the plant also horizontally but kinda form a upside down V inbetween them. I have no clue how much this will help lower branches get sunligt but i hope it will, this is also for a guerilla so i'll have start digging this year before the cold hits the ground to hard so.

I heard people using minor and greater stones in the back or around the plant at its lower part of the stem. The stones would absorb heat during the day and giving the plant som warmth after the sun go down, the actual effect of this kind of microclimate and how much it helps? I have absolutely not a clue.

Wild animals and critters can be scared off by using urine in a plastic jar or bottle with holes made out of it so they can smell it and they wont come near your grow. I also know of people thats using wolfpiss with great success, theres not a fucking rat that would go near a wolfnest haha.
