I hate mites!

Can I use Floramite SC? Has anyone ever used Floramite SC 2 weeks into flower to what results? So I'm 2 weeks and 1 day into flower. I noticed my mites have rallied a comeback. They laughed at mighty wash, don't bug me and azamax. I detest neem with the same intensity of a 1000 suns. Floramite SC cleared the prob up however I'm finding a litlle stippling and some new eggs within distance of a dead mite. I've yet been unable to identify the mites. I believe I've got some true mite diversity (different species).

:thank you:

Nice grow! Got any pics of the different mite you reference?

If you don't already have, I strongly suggest a electric powered fogger for a room of that size and with such large plants. This will ensure complete saturation of both sides of the leaf surface. There were a couple people on this site who found a great one for hundred bucks or so. Well worth it when you consider the cost of pesticides and potential loss of crops.

Next, if you want to end it, this will do it, it's called PYLON. Its a translaminar and you only need to spray the tops of the leaves for it to be effective. Pylon is a profession product and IS the best product on the market. Cost is $400 per quart. But that'll make around 300 gallons. This product is not for closet grows, it's for serious growers who don't fuck around (and all the commercial hothouses in the world). It's approved for tomatoes and such. I would caution however, that at two weeks in your window to safely use is closing quickly. While the label says a few days, you don't want it on buds.

From those in the commercial biz, nothing's more effective, period. You can get it online.

Good luck!

Ive never tried PYLON, avid and florbid 4f are doing the job
also i just found out triazicide also kills broad mites, its $10 a bottle

PYLON looks to be the bane of all mites,
broads, rust, cyclemen and spidermites.
here's a few pests it works on
its also translaminar which is a good thing.
only thing it isn't an ovacide so you'll have to do follow up treatments

Pests Controlled
• Caterpillars
• Fungus gnats
• Broad mite
• Citrus budmite
• Cyclamen mite
• Rust mite
• Spider mites
• Foliar nematodes
• Western flower thrips
• Chilli thrips

Keys to Success

To minimize risk of injury to plants, make applications prior to blooming or avoid blooms whenever possible. Apply in the coolest times of day and refer to the Pylon label to evaluate crop safety on any plants you may be treating.
Pylon is not ovicidal and so should be used in rotation with a registered ovicidal product specific for the pest when moderate to high populations of eggs are present. Applications should be made to the immature stages of insects and mites.
When target insect populations are high and potential for multiple generations exist, make a Pylon application at the high rate, then make a sequential application 5 to 7 days later. Make only one sequential application at the 5- to 7-day interval when necessary. See the label for additional instructions regarding resistance management.
Product Attributes

• Provides 14 to 21 days of control depending on the pest and pest population pressure
• Exceptional control of thrips, including Western flower and chilli thrips
• Rainfast in 60 minutes
• Broad-spectrum control of nymph and adult stages of mites
• Only registered product for foliar nematodes in greenhouses
• Mortality of most pests within 72 hours, except foliar nematodes
• Excellent translaminar activity

Gonna have to deal with that mite for another 4 years,.... no way around it.

Might want to support Co and Wa in their moves to legalize and push back against the mite,... err man!

never heard of hexygon,
for an ovacide I prefer volck oil,
its cheap and very veggie friendly,
I like it for the whiteflies that seem to be a prob in my locale
and the fact it kills spider mites and its an ovacide that does in broad mite eggs also
is a plus
AND
its on a very low order of toxicity as pesticides go

Expensive but could save your crop..

Pylon is the newest unique miticide on the market today. With translaminar systemic abilities, Pylon offers contact control as well as long residual control (21-27 days of control.) Pylon gives excellent control of most mite species (including: two-spotted spider mite, apple rust mite, broad mite, carmine spider mite, citrus budmite, citrus rust mite, cyclamen mite, pear rust mite, and the Pacific spider mite.)

Pylon has a unique mode of action; it works on at the mitochonrial membrane where it disrupts the high-energy proton gradient that drives oxidative phosphorylation. Pylon “uncouples” the mitochondrial protons (H+) and the mite can no longer generate ATP. Without ATP the cells cease functioning and the mite dies.

I just read a post where a guy done a test, he wanted to see how safe they would be using different pesticides. He sprayed 4 plants, he sprayed one plant with Avid, one with Floramite, one with Forbid 4F and one with Eagle 20 he then let them veg for 8 more weeks before flowering. After they finished he took samples of each plant and sent them to a lab in CA to have them tested. The Results were
Plant A Avid 8 PPM
Plant B Floramite 5 PPM
Plant C no contaminates
Plant D no contaminates
Anything with more than 1 PPM is unsafe for human consumption.
The lab did say the two brands that had high PPM levels were made for using on plants outside and the sun would help disapate them.
I have never used any of them, but I have heard a lot of good things about Forbid 4F
I have had good luck with those no pest strips after I sprayed the leaves with neem. I swear by the no pest strips I keep one in my grow and flower room at all time and I have not had anymore problems. Good luck.

What up DJ! Imagine running into you here.

Indeed. Before I set up any of my new rooms, I do the same thing to the whole damn place. THEN I set up. Other than my perpetual spot. I pest spray after each tear down.

I lost 4 rooms at the same time to pests about 8 years ago and it was at a VERY delicate time with the finances and almost wiped me out. I take no chances and no prisoners anymore.

FUCK those nasty lil buggers.

this is the best plan of action!
you need to be proactive,
I also bomb the room on a regular basis and thoroughly spray the floors, walls, entrance, intake screens, any vector that allows bugs to get in,
even benign bugs can introduce the more serious
bugs in our gardens.

whitesflies were a big problem a few years ago in my grows, after i got rid of my 1st big infestation is when I started suffering broad mites, last year i found out that broads love to hitch rides on white flies legs to *greener pastures*

NPS are excellent, and work extremely well against spider mites
I have a dozen i keep sealed in their original packages and break them out every now and then and zap an area,
going into bloom is a good time, also I concentrate the gas and get sureifre results, in a 8x8 room i hang a 1/2 dozen
seal it up over nite with exhaust fans off,
maybe leave a ceiling fan on low,
whatever is suceptable to dichlrovos gas is DOA the next morning

Interesting. I thought avid (abamectin) was at safe levels after 30-40 days.
