What we need is a good record setting cold and snowy fucking winter. That gets rid of many fair weather growers. Artic winds from Canada weeks on end.

+1000!! :tiphat:

I remember an arctic cold snap that gave us the longest run of record cold highs in the single digits for almost a week.

More recently, I remember this!:

Ever spent a winter in upper Michigan? Long before that Canadian air reaches you it blows over Lake Superior, then us. I wonder if Colorado houses also have entrances on the second floor, like many of the ones around here? With staircases ending on the roof and all? (You know...so you can walk right in or out when it's buried in 30' of snow?) Something tells me that the weather in Colorado is not going to be a deterrence....lol

I believe we don't do the 2nd floor entrances due to the mountain lions.

Winter is finally here

Winter is finally here

Awoke to snow this morning. More bad weather tonight and tomorrow so I decided to come out of the mountains and end my elk hunt early. Just had a cow tag anyway...

...but before the snow hit I busted this bruiser earlier in the week. :dance013:...yea I had a tag for him too.

Yeah, I know. Nobody's moving to the UP.
And although not a deterrence for you, we don't care when UP people come here, it's like N.Cal, WA, OR even some Texans (they're a hoot) all friends. It's those ones from the warm weather south-eastern areas that come here and cause problems, and SoCal.
Colorado just ain't ever going to be California, stop complaining about it.
But the Front Range usually absorbs all the folks that don't have that mountain itch.

Nice shot, little high and rear, but I can't say the distance. Clean kill none the less.

What caliber?

Saw on the news earlier a timeline for 64 saying it's expected to go into effect in January of 2014. WTF????....Bastards!!!

Is there anything that can be done about this? Any other change or ammendment to the current laws of this state would certainly go into effect this January. Democracy....yea right! Maybe it's time for a smoke out on the capitol steps, ya know a little friendly demonstration.
