Everybody wants what they can't have. Been that way since the beginning of mankind. The choice fruit at the top of the tree. The better cut of meat. The best sewn pair of saber tooth hide pants with matching dire wolf frock. The prettiest woman in the cave. The fastest camel. The best current strain of pot that just a few have. Etc, etc, etc...
Always better to demonize the haves. Threads like this, or what it has become are very telling and prove that the more current the times the same we basically are. The entitlement mentality never ceases to amaze. Quite funny really.
Now back to your regularly scheduled shit fest.......
PS-Was the same with Bubba Kush, LVPK, Chem strains, ECSD, OG's(all of them), many others, and now the GSC. Sooner or later they all trickle out. guess that trickle down economics works when it comes to availability of clones. It takes a while but eventually they get into nearly everyone's hands.

Copyright Infringement:
Copyright infringement is the unauthorized use of works under copyright, infringing the copyright holder's "exclusive rights", such as the right to reproduce, distribute, display or perform the copyrighted work, spread the information contained within copyrighted works, or to make derivative works. It often refers to copying "intellectual property" without written permission from the copyright holder, which is typically a publisher or other business representing or assigned by the work's creator.

You can parse that however you'd like but if you don't think that's stealing we definitely are from different universes.
You should look in the mirror when you call others elitist.
Adios.

When you copy an MP3--or a cannabis plant--nobody is deprived of anything. Therefore it is, by definition, nothing at all like stealing. So what's the weather like on Mars?

I think the whole point most of us get into this game is to smoke good buds, some of us are here for money and the rest are here for both. I love to grow and if I can make a living off of it why is that a problem? If I work to make a strain, I am not just gonna give it away. I have to eat first. I think anyone would think that way. If you make a living doing something else and just grow for your own, that's awesome! I personally hate working for someone else and like to work for myself. A lot of people out there are like that. If only all of us were so lucky to to work with what we love. Some people did that and made bank off of it. Name another sector of industry where that HASN'T happened? There is always going to be a Coca Cola and Pepsi among all the soft drinks that are out there. Just because you weren't fortunate enough to discover it or work to build it doesn't mean you have to be sour because someone else is cashing in on it. This is America and we are capitalist not communist. If you want a piece you gotta work for it, or be lucky enough to have it to begin with. Is it fucked up? Yea it can be, but human nature always gets in the way of sharing. That's why communism doesn't work. Greed and jealousy are natural instincts we all have. Some of us can fight it better than others but we all feel it.

I say there is no point in getting all worked up. If you feel you are being left out, then shut off your computer and never get on the internet again. Don't turn on your TV or read any publications. You also might want to turn the radio off forever too. There are ads for shit all the time, we are bombarded with images of shit we think we want or need which fuels our greed and jealousy.

Pop a seed, there is always better shit out there. No reason to get hung up on elites and all this hype around certain cuts. It's nice to run them and smoke them but for me half the fun is smoking something totally new that isn't already out there. :joint:

Who's demonizing the "haves" buddy? If someone has all these killer cuts then I'm proud of them. If you're referring to me you better review the thread again and see how this started: with somebody saying they had the OGKB cut, and the pricks responding to that all up in a huff about it.

Quite funny really.

Agreed. I love that some people are pissed about the OGKB cut leaking (or possibility of...I don't have it and haven't seen it.)

Exactly.... this is why hoarders are stupid. The only reason it doesn't hurt them so badly now is because it's an illegal market, where fame is more of a curse than a blessing. When it's a legal trade, within 5-10 years these people will see (or more likely, still stubbornly refuse to see) the error of their secretive hoarding ways.

He who gives, receives. He who gives a lot, receives a lot. He who clings tightly to his gold and riches, will find it slipping through his fingers. If one wants to become truly rich and prosperous, one must build fame. One excellent way to become famous and reach other people's notice is by a) always having the best shit, and b) always being generous and giving and help a lot of people out.

This is why I can only laugh at the hoarders who shoot themselves in the foot by being secretive, greedy little dicks who rub their hands over their $8,000/lb they're getting off their hoarded cut, completely oblivious to the $700,000/month their bad habits and anti-social behavior just fucked them out of in the long run.

Yes they are, they are deprived of their "exclusive rights" to their work.
You really can't be that stupid?
You aren't, you're just playing word games...
You're going to sit here and tell me that unauthorized copying and distributing of software for example is not theft?

"Theft"

In copyright law, infringement does not refer to theft of physical objects that take away the owner's possession, but an instance where a person exercises one of the exclusive rights of the copyright holder without authorization.

You're still stealing.

Edit: I will say on a personal note that just today I learned that my sister, who worked for years on an academic research paper basically all by her self(she had some help from one other person) just found out that her asshole academic boss put the paper in for submission but added six other people to the paper for credit even though they did absolutely nothing. Her name is last on the list. That is why people like ginger irk me so much.

Look, dumbass. We already had this discussion in the other thread. That's why I politely asked you to read it and educate yourself on this subject instead of derailing it with this utter stupidity. You're arguing from ignorance, which is pointless and a waste of everyone's fucking time. This discussion is not new and has been debated all across the Internet for years. Bottom line is, you're completely wrong and on the losing side of history to boot. If you want to argue about fucking copyright law then do that in the copyright thread, where 80% of people agree that you are totally wrong.

You're going to sit here and tell me that unauthorized copying and distributing of software for example is not theft?

No. It's not theft. It's COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.....which is NOT THEFT.

I thought you were leaving?

You're parsing words. It's theft. I won't bother with that thread, I could care less what you and your cohorts in the tokers den decided...
Time to actually work.

You're parsing words. It's theft.

Words have meanings, mental midget. It's theft just because you say it is? Care to use the slightest bit of logic to justify your position, besides googling shit off some bullshit web page on the Internet? And how about doing it in the MOTHER FUCKING COPYRIGHT THREAD instead of continually DERAILING this one with your offtopic and flat out provably WRONG assertions...ASSHOLE?

It's not theft.

I could care less what you and your cohorts in the tokers den decided...

Then maybe you should take the opinion of thousands of legal scholars as well as philosophers into account. The "cohorts in the tokers den" are just average fuckers on the street, and even they can see the logic behind why you're stupider than a box of bricks.

Time to actually work.

As I told you elsewhere....I will be a billionaire before I die. I pray you die in the gutters penniless.

Not referring to any one person at all. All I'm saying is that if you were to go back and take a look at any early thread about a "new elite" strain that has come out over the past, and I'm just going to cut it short and refer to the last 10 years, you'll see the same type arguments that "Cannabis is free thus it should be freely shared", "spread the love man", "stop the hoarding", etc.
My post is simply to state that anytime a new anything comes out everyone wants it. No matter what it is there is a market for it.
In regard to cannabis, the one who found it, bred it, whatever, has just as much of a right to profit from it until such time as they see fit to spread it around or not. There is big money to be make from exclusivity whether a person likes it or not. In a market where "run of the mill" OG Kush is bringing 28-3200.00 if I can find a strain the is the firest of the fire shouldn't I be able to run it as long as I want in my market area if I'm knocking down 35-4000.00/lb for it? It is and has always been a supply and demand illegal business and none of us are able to put our real names to the cut. So if I have it and you don't I have exclusive right to profit from it. Last I checked, no one just gives it away for free, even amongst friends most of the time. Everyone pays one way or the other. Call it greed. Call it benefiting off your own work. Call it benefiting from a product that everyone wants. Call it putting more money in my retirement wall.
If it weren't in demand and hard to get it wouldn't be worth having. So it's a strike while the iron is hot before the next big thing hits the scene which is about every 2 years more or less. Nothing more. Nothing less. And I can't fault anyone for that.
