im having a few plants in early bloom that appear to have their pistils burning and dying. its not affecting the whole plant just certain buds. not even the ones closest to the light. alittle background: i grow in promix bx 15 gall pots. 2 under each 1000 watt hps. 10000 watt total in perpetual. got great air movement across the plants. temps 73-82 humidity 40-55. i use ionic line nutes. mighty wash spray every couple weeks. done nothing different for past couple years. any ideas guys?

I can't really see your pictures that clearly, but whenever my plants' pistils are dying prematurely it's because they've been pollinated...

I have that happen whenever I get the dreaded cal/mag def in coco.

broads will burn pistils in early flower then buds just stop forming. pollinating will also cause pistils to die back in early flower.

yes....this is either pollen - or broad mites....no other possible solution...

Pray you have pollen in your room...broad mites suck.

You stated you are praying your plants? I have had sprays kill hairs before, and also humidity could be a problem, but recently I have had the same thing happen that was neither of theese. It turned out since my Critical Mass is so sticky and gummy they are almost wet to the touch, and this caused small fan leaves around the bud to die prematurely and shrink into them causing mold. Not saying this is your problem for sure. Just check for broad mites, then see if your spray is the culprit or humidity, then finally see if what I said could be the problem. Hope this helps a little and good luck.

Ps: I agree with the above, also could be pollen in the room.

check into triazicide, I just found out a few weeks ago it works on broad mites.
its not as toxic as avid and forbid so you can work with it in bloom.
you can use it on veggie crops like lettuce, broccoli asparagus.

one thing I found out, the hit me in very early bloom, by the time i figured out what it was and sprayed em at 3-4wks the buds really never recovered and they were stunted.
what ever you do it needs to be done assap!

not neccessarily, floramite is great for spidermites.
but for me it had no effect on the broads
