The latest variety to join our fleet is the devastatingly strong Darkstar. This mega Indica not only grows ridiculously dense buds, but the potency is out of this world. Darkstar is a great plant for those seeking pain relief, appetite enhancement and other worldly activities. The Dark Star plant is classic Afghan in structure, growing thick, strong branches at a slow pace, which requires a little patience in vegetative phase and may cause some early anxiety for beginners who expect a more typical indica timetable. This plant is slower than many of its brethren and works best as indoor plant, where it will take 9-10 weeks to reach full ripened bloom. Once flowering, this plant forms a large main cola that is encircled by a crown or budlets. Dark Star flowers, like their cosmic namesake, are super dense and compact. The leaves are wide and so dark that the deep greens take on a blue tinge. When ready to harvest, Dark Star's color changes quickly, with the spiky bud hairs turning pink-red. This plant's clones set slowly, but mature plants are easy to manicure.
The Dark Star high is stupefying and narcotic, with spacey, otherworldly qualities. While its aroma is not overpowering, it is interesting with mellow, almost nutty flavors. The onset is fast, and the high will last through a concert or make for a great afternoon. This is not a functional buzz for accomplishing tasks, especially if they involve reading or counting. should grow very indica - short and stout... should be a decent yield of kush nugs...which is always good. they say it takes 10 weeks but i bet you could get a faster pheno out of a pack...i also got a few as freebee with several orders -i think i got a free pack so ill check it out also - enjoy the indica stone

Just germed my Dark Star from that Attitude giveaway back in late summer.
May I mention that it came with an extra currency exchange that cost me a mysterious $50. Fuckers, I think I'm going to avoid their shop if I may in the future.
The D* has huge seeds and large components - leaves etc.
And the D* my buddy smoked with me earlier this summer set me down to earth.
I mean going no-where. Looks exactly like the bottom picture above.
I've only smoked it completely 'amber'd up though, wondering what it would be like with like 30%.
You guys down to post results with this strain back to this thread?

i have 4 dark star in selection at the minute , one is allot taller than the other 3 but still very indica ............. rough ridged stems they just wont bend at all , early resin seems good , leafs seem waxy .......... thats all i can tell you so far !
have one heavy duty fruityaswell ........... very fast plant very short , is way ahead of all the other selection plants its gunna be a massive yeilder by the looks of it ! early resin isnt so impressive though !

THSeeds version is not my True Darkstar. Even the genetic makup is not correct. The true star is Black Domina (female) x Seni Star (male). The female is a prized cutting of the original Dom, from the Paradise area of nor cal. Often refered to as Black Domino, Dom, and occasionally The Black (not BCBD but pre BCBD). The male used in the cross was a very special boy known as SensiStud in the Detroit area. This was a clone only variety, due to legal reason, seeds of the original cross no longer exist. It's spread was quick and eventually reached across the pond. I believe the quality with there product is due to the out cross to create seeds of this variety. I have no affiliation with these breeders and they would not know me from anyone. Although our pathes have crossed. Just thought I would drop that tid bit here.

Or that the clone only is good because of what THEY used?
The stuff I smoked came from out east, and sounded like the guy had been working the strain himself for a while, has his own seedstock.
Also the top picture, which is on the (bean)finder for THSeeds darkstar,
looks like schwag compared to the bottom picture, which is what I smoked.

It makes sence that you would have found it out east first. One of the first places this cutting was taken to was Maine. It has made its rounds in the east till this day. My statement referred to there breeding to make seeds only, i.e. the male used to create this was either lackluster, or the stablilization was not taken seriously. The clone only variety is NOT THSEEDS, but is in fact my genetic hybridization. You can see in my public profile that my posts on this variety pre date anything by THseeds by many years, in fact I personnally discussed this variety with them at the 18th cup. As well as I did with many seed breeders, including Luke, with whom the SensiStar was bred originally. It is funny how you described the east coast Darkstar's effects, we refered to it as the SILENCER, because as soon as it was smoked, even in a large crowd, we would soon be the only people left talking, ha. And you are correct that the second picture is a closer representation of the true DStar.

^^^ not saying you are wrong but thseeds has been in colorado for a few years now collecting strains and selling their seeds @ shops
always had bad germ rates with anything i tried from th seeds- thats just my experience

calm down topshelf..... seeds are part of the game, altho u r partially right because there is a ton of BS on the seed market, but there are winners as well, u are in the right place to find what will suite u best.
and u dont expect breeders to just tell u every lil bit of their process & genetics, thats llike askin colonel sanders for that chicken recipe.

ya didn't know that...haha. DOi. I have met adam and his cronies on multiple occasions. Watched him scam people left and right. His seeds are a joke, He even had the nerve to ask for all the males back from over 5 packs, And guess what, no keepers.
Cold Creek Kush is just og grown in COAL creek canyon on the backasswards way to Nederland. They came here because they saw $$$. They also saw flame.
and on the note of breeders with no transparency, thats how it should be. Ever want seed from me, I'll send you pics of the preggo female and parents.
Just wondering, was a bit too stoned last night to make sense of the quote. The good bud I smoked was dank, I don't expect to get that out of my seeds. Thats a drag that there are such losers in your game man
