And then some assholes come in and steal your entire season's worth of hard work and fuck you up while they're at it. If only I could live in a world with no neighbors.

Seriously, stay safe post-harvest people.

That was exactly what I was thinking when it took me 30 days straight to harvest my whole crop just by myself. Thinking about what if someone waited until you are done with all of the hard dirty work then just break in and swoop up nearly a year of hard work. I would've gone bonkers. :ying:

I'm getting the windows on my house reinforced with Armor Glass tomorrow *http://www.armorglassinternational.com/* so it won't be so easy for low lifes to do a smash and grab in general. So sorry for your mishaps SeaMaiden. :ying:

So i'm assuming the red pheno, since its described as an earlier finisher, is the one that can be cut on Sept 21 & again on Oct 15 in the triangle.....since it finishes so early im wondering if a 300 gallon pot might be overkill, even for seeds popped in early Feb. Maybe a 200 gallon would be enough? Yield wise, how does the red G5 compare to La Con, White Berry, and other earlies?

yielded way more than the LA cons i planted, averaged 3-4lbs per 200 gallon pot and they werent planted until june 12th, planted from 5gal pots when they were 3-4 feet high ..also im in sierra foothills and our light cycles a bit different so i think Ganja says sept 26th for triangle sun....but not sure.

it looks to have the same vigor and stretch as BD, or at least close....its pretty damn vigorous, im sure they would fill out a 300 easily.

Take 5 Honey

I did 89 crosses this year so far. two from last year have come out as shining stars. Someone got over 7 lbs from a Mangla clone. I hit my LA conf mom ( OG x Afghani) with a great MNS Mango Haze pollen and made Mangla. That one was like pulling the lever and hitting three triple bars. Fucking exotic aroma. superb high.

Another one was the LAX cross. Guys in Humboldt and the central valley did well with that one. Someone grew a 12' x 12' plant of that near Honeydew, with buds reportedly bigger then your head, multi color, and a massive trichome output. I did not see it but Ive been told it looked like toothpaste was on the buds.
I didnt release any Panama Blue seeds to friends yet, but the 4 large ladies I ran are also a superior quality. I mixed in OG, Orange Crush, Blue Kush, amd Panama Red. Its kill. Hot pink hairs and all kinds of rainbow colors. Super sweet odor. I have over 200 crosses now. Hopefully some will make their way to you from people growing it.

Yes, it happened. My point is to warn people that once your harvest is down doesn't mean you're safe. I felt safe after my harvest was taken down, and I shouldn't have. I also learned just how quickly shit can go really, really, REALLY bad.

Individuals and women growers, please BE SAFE.

I need to rethink how I do everything (if I continue), the entire process, and I need a companion who will always be by my side. Because even though my husband works maybe 2mi away, it's not close enough and it's not humanly possible to be by my side 24/7. It *is*, however, caninely possible. I want another Harley (my mother's long since passed Rottweiler). Question is finding him/her.

Just BE SAFE, people. Just because it's in doesn't mean you're golden.

In the meantime, the breeder who bred my mom's dog is no longer doing it. Anyone know someone with excellent (naturally protective) Rottie lines? My dog not only watched, she helpfully licked my face as I was being tied up.

Was an odd season here. Successfully harvest a lot of diff plants, but they didnt fill out like I would have thought. Got a late start, but they took off fast. Gave plenty of root space a food throught veg. The temps dropped really low early Oct. and frosted midway thru Oct. I just took down the last plant today. Some FIlled out with dense colas, but the majority were very loose, and leafy. The larger plants didnt want to finish. Trying to figure out what happened to avoid this next season. Could it have been too much Chicken manure in the pots?? The plants taking up nitrogen too late in the season? Or just the early cold temps? ANy ideas?

i have a red nose Pit! awesome linage. haven't fixed her, but have not breed her either. she is just now hitting her 3rd heat. shes ready to rip.

But honestly, she is the FASTEST, highest jumping, very easy to train to protect you... As they are naturally that way. all around i recommend some pit bulls. Great Companions, even greater fighters. no one could out run my dog.

Edit: also get a female ;). i just posted this, and some doors shut in a car. my dog sensed something and started growling. Never barks she is quite as hell, so when she growls, i know she senses something within a 50 feet radius.

also people are scared of them for some reason! :D good deterrent.

Do you know who it is? and u most likely will need to find another grow spot. If you are legal in California. you can actually make a police report, and any evidence. Although i rather deal with shit myself. but i dont want to end up in jail either for someone else's stupidity.

dogs are so important i want to adopt more...they can hear everything in the forest around us and always give a heads up... earlier in the season when the mountain was dry its hard for anything to sneak around in the brush without making tons of noise... now that things got rained on its easier for rippers to off the road in the wet brush and around the property lines peeking around... if they see chopped plants they definately know there might be drying processed herb nearby...it takes 24/7 and as many security measures as possible to help fight the possibility. even with all my security i still worry about the worst....never know when the rippers will time things just right. they key is also to not have all your eggs in the same basket..move things around as soon as they are ready, no need to have all your herb and valuables in the same place as the garden...

If were going into security...

Never show your garden to anyone. Never have friends or family over to your spot. Never tell anyone your growing, unless they HAVE to know. Also dont grow somewhere where your security is easily compromised.

And another thing, for some reason people think it takes a bunch of people to make this happen, when in reality a real ganja farmer can tend to huge gardens all by them self, and turn out the highest grade herbs with awesome yields. Help should only be needed for processing imho

Play it low key. Never be the biggest fish in your pond.

Stay safe out there...

All this security talk and the most important thing has been left out, ARM YOURSELF!!!! That is the only way to guarantee safety. I know that is controversial but tell me a better way and I will listen.

SeaMaiden,

Sorry I was 3sheets there, and hence took the comment lightly, but it shouldn't have been. I've been there for what it's worth, cold steel to the head etc, yeah that's no fun at all. Still, it's a fine line between not being stupid, and living inside of this constant weird paranoid world that many folk do. If I found myself in that latter camp, I simply wouldn't do what I do. My world (CBF could testify) is quite a bit different than most here - and yes maybe just a tad insane. Rip-offs in my neighborhood very rarely make it all the way back down the mountain. In my neighborhood my neighbors are our best defense/asset. I am very fortunate in that regard, as there are very few places on earth like it.

I still like grandpa's advice, money ain't safe until it's spent, so spend it.

In regards to a good dog that will have our back, they're like cannabis, it's a phenotype hunt among highly polygenetic traits that all add up to character. Good lines are a start but there are also several puppy tests we can do to greatly increase our odds of obtaining the type of dog we're looking for. Most of these guys who think their dog has their back are just plain wrong. An easy test for that is to feign heart attack etc when next you're walking in the park, fall to the ground and pretend to pass out. 95% of dogs will try to crawl underneath us with their nose, to somehow get "under" (key word) foot. Because they are not comfortable at all, with having our back as it were. A good dog on the other hand will with tail up and dominant, circle us and keep a close eye on strangers in the park as they do, they are comfortable with the occasional position being in charge, having our back, and accepting that responsibility. I love me a good dog, for you can't call back a bullet. Anyway I prefer the dominant dog in any litter, the one that end up with the meaty bone each time to toss it into the litter. If he don't take no shit from his siblings, that's a really good start, providing we can handle them, they ime grow into the best protection dogs. -T
