Purple outdoors in the tropics

Yes Blueberry loves it in the tropics. Flo stayed small for me.

Hope I did not offend anyone with me calling bullshit, that was not my intention. I just know for a fact that purp genetics really have a hard time and do not want to see people waste their time and resources.

I do want to reiterate that plants do in fact go purple here. I have grown numerous strains that purple, but honestly they were not that great, just average at best. Better to find you a nice green strain that is fire and can handle the humidity.

No offense taken, my experience is at 26N so not exactly tropics but not too far away either. I should've clarified that you don't wanna try to grow indicas in the tropics during the rainy season. Where I'm at the tropical rains come from June through September and that's when I run a full outdoor veg/flower cycle with pure sativas. My point was that to grow indicas (purple or not) properly in the tropics you'll need to veg them indoors for at least 30 days. From October to May I can grow any indica I want so long as I veg indoors first. From June through September, not so much.

In the Astur Mexica strain you can find pheno's which will turn purple to black.

Keep on growing :)

I wish I had a season that was dry here. It rains every month, there is no "dry" season where I live. It makes it really hard to grow anything when the weather sucks like this.

So JOJO420 did that blueberry you use come from DJ or DP? what did it yield? in ground or pots? did it colour up? i just want something different.

think of a mum cab and 100, 5 gal buckets, growing and indica (Blue berry)and vegging till just right then putting in the buckets outdoors to finish. should get a round every 8 weeks.

Try to get Parvati. It will give not fully purple flowers but it is resistant against rainy weather and has purple tones.

Keep on growing :)
