Grow box help

I have a 48x48x76 grow tent with 3x6" holes and 2x4" holes. I have 2x28" long 8" cool tubes in there with 1000w each.
What the best way to hook this up ? Was thinking of having the 2x6" ducts have a reducer on it so I can run 8" ducting inside as a sealed light circuit because I know it is going to get hot in there. I don't need odor control so I am exhausting out the top 6" duct and it creates a negative pressure on the intake so I get fresh air inside. I don't have much space between the walls and the cooltubes, ten inches each side. Should the lights be wired in series or parallel? I think series would be alright because its sealed ventilation, parallel would be a lot more efficient but I don't have enough room to spare to fit 8-6" reducers on each light and y-fittings. Please help I have seven days until my 9 girls are going in.

In this case my friend, I would say that it doesn't matter what the most efficient method is, it's all dependant on the room you have to work with.
The reducers are a must if you have to go from 8" to 6" but what you choose from there or to there is whatever will work.

All I can say is that you have your fan before the lights so the fan is blowing air into the lights and not sucking air from the lights.. Why? It lengthens the life of the fan if you do not have all that hot air for the lights running through the fan and through the bearings..

If you look through the grow room designs and equipment forum, you should be able to find quite a few examples to make it work for you...

Good Luck

That's a helluva lot of light for a 4' x 4' tent 1x 1kw HPS or 2x 600w HPS lights would be optimal in a 16 sq. ft tent.

1000/16 = 62.5w sq.ft. 145,000/16 = 9,062.5 lumens sq ft.

1200/16 = 75w sq ft. 180,000/16 = 11,250 lumens sq ft.

Well I am going to only run one light for the first three weeks then turn the second one on. This is all personal medicine.
Thanks for the tip vukman, I will have the fan blowing into the sealed light ventilation.
Finishing 9x5gal Thai X Afghan in 10 days they will get the transplant.
