What are the genetics of B.C. (British Columbia) Purple Kush?

last time i was in Bc i got some Juicy Fruit and Rene cuts plus some Purple Kush seeds, some S1s and some seeds a S1 x original mother cross. the strain seems to be very stable and potent, though it can herm and doesn't yield too great unless you find a good pheno, other than that i really like it. only problem is i don't know the genes nor does my friend.
please tell me as i'd like to know what you can share about the strain

care to elaborate? i don't understand, it's from a bagseed? so it's just a plant that kinda smells kushy and someone hopped on the name bandwagon?

thanks bigbag, i saw that on a few sights but most were from a vendor or something like that so i wasn't sure, fuck the confusion prohibition causes. but wine grape strains get mislabeled deceivingly all the time so it makes me wonder if a bullshit backstory about gees will ever stop.

the cut i was gifted in bc was from cali via washington.

og kush x purple ghani. i have released here to the public in chilliwack. stalk smells like astringent fuel. can be cropped at 8-9 or 10 weeks subject to patients needs...

loves ppm, needs calmag, huge yield, mm

ps i have seen about 20-30 different "pk" in bc in the last 10 years. most of them hermies from bag seed from this original plant...

These plants are loved by powdery mildew. Hopefully it is not found at the cut houses. Peace GS

sounds like it medman. Now i've got a silly question so it's a og kush x purple Afghani right ? not a strain from Ghana in Africa? i say that because i know of a ghani squaw that is a Ghanian strain.

and is that cut available to cash croppers? because i've seen it & several other cuts, that were obviously related to it around here in alberta. and i'm pretty sure the clone my friend has is a s1 or even a herm from a s1, not the original.

ya, purple afghani lol haha. thats funny, never figured ghani was a tence for ghana lol.

you will see from van all the way to sask. rockwool cubes. clean as a whistle. he just started stocking it wholesale this month.

all the cuts from surrey, maple ridge etc do not even compare to the yield and look. alot of people just found purple colored kushes. the ppk is the definitive clone that started it all.

i remember a big vacuum for pk started when some dumbasses used hermie seeds in a couple commercial baby houses. before even bringing them to fruition. then no one wanted to grow it.

most of the othe nice cuts leaned more to coffee or grape palates. the ppk is more dank, full ,rich, fuely and domineering. tops look almost black at 10-11 weeks, mm

thanks for the info medman, if it is related to the real deal i know a little more of it's parentage, which i always want to know. regardless the cut it's from is a heavy yielding plant like you desribed with a powerful narcotic indica high, so either way it's a good plant that hopefully crosses well with some autos i have.
were you able to breed out the hermi tendency at all in your purple painkiller (thats it right?) because i really like the way my friend described their relative stability other than that.

edit also please pm me with a link to your wares

So that's why everyone turns their head in disgust when someone mentions PK Locally? There's quite a stigma attached to it.
Had a PK x OG cut from Surrey that was amazing, the resin looked like it could drip off it. But maybe I was surprised because all I heard is crap about the local Purple Kush.

Not sure what that has to do with the BC PK at all. Still an interesting read. There are so many Purple Kushes{Even just locally. Most not even the ones the folks in Cali speak of}, not sure you can say that is the definitive answer. Peace GS

Do you still have the Special K.?

JODI and Peak seeds have a Purple Kush, not sure how good they are.

The version that Peak has was created using a successful local cut.
