Trying to decide on my butane brand

Which butane should I use if I am unable get my hands on almost pure n-butane from a local gas supply company.

I really want to try to use Airgas and come up with a cover story of why I need 99% pure n-butane in such a large quantity, just nothing is coming to mind other than a restaurant which technically should only need to use the refill canisters not an actual full blown pure strength butane cylinder with a liquid siphon tube lol.

pure strength butane cylinder with a liquid siphon tube lol.

Its going to be hard to get a cylinder with the siphon tube.
Just order a butane cyinder without the siphon tube then turn the tank upside down to pull off the liquid butane.

Actually a good buddy of mine who owns a head shop told me he is awaiting his shipment of that exact brand and type of butane, and that if I were going to use a "can brand" that Newport near 0 impurities is the pretty much the top. Said its going to be about $70 a case though which is roughly $65 a gallon, Airgas's 99% n-butane is $130 for a 5gal cylinder here.... I'm debating getting my catering license which is 150 every 6 months and saying I use to to refill all my butane cans for my hot plate burners in my trucks. So if I purchased only 1 cylinder per license that would take the cost per gallon to $56 per gallon, 2 cylinders per license $28 per gallon, and so on down the line.

just cuz some co designs a cool logo that says "near zero impurities" doesnt mean much..
i have an email from the co saying it is marketed in our co as colibri and xicar...
(which i thought odd seeing as they both have diff msds) not sure why all of a sudden everyones so hyped on this...its been around a while...just mostly over seas...i DEF wouldnt say its the best thing in a can....
i mean its certainly not proven...maybe someones pers pref..

Near zero impurities means less than 50ppm paraffin type waxes to clog the fine nozzles in the lighters, not how much propane, or isobutane is also contains, which are the other typical impurities in n-Butane from lighter fuel.

A published test, showed that they actually tested below 15ppm, as did some of the brands like Lucienne, which compete with the manufacturers using the Near Zero logo.

If you want closer to near zero total impurities in reality, you will need to take lots of money to Airgas for their four nines instrument grade, but our experiments with the major lighter fuel brands used for extraction, revealed that they all worked well.

Vector used to be my preferred butane. But its kinds pricy at 60$ out the door.

It's all about power 7x ! 40$ out the door.

I recently did a mirror spray test of both. They both left very little residue. Like close to none. But when I put my nose to the spot I sprayed, I smelt something coming off the vector pile..

Edit.. not power butane. Not power 5x. Needs to be power 7x!

I've been using "turbo power" I know it sounds funny, but 320ml per can and $40 out the door and no smell/residue. Seems a lot like vector to me because it makes my torch burn hotter.

Got a free case of NEON 5X quintuple refined. Not sure if I want to use it or not, I know NEon used to be a cheap quality, but this is a newer product. Any suggestions? I was going to start a thread on this but decided to post here instead.

I havent seen colibri in forever. Fwiw, when i could no longer find colibri eventually the owner of a cigar shop in town told me that "colibri and vector are the same product from the same factory in korea".
