Wetting Agents

I

Iffy-Caradoc

Hi folks,
I'm considering buying some 'Wet Betty'. The write-up is impressive and it kinda makes sense but what's it like in reality?
Any EC or pH problems? I'm sure many of you have experience with this well known product.
Look forward to your posts.
Stay safe :tiphat:

Just use dish soap mate.
I used to use Dutch Master Penetrator but never saw any difference in effectiveness compared to a tiny bit of fairy liquid.
That's all these wetting agents are, a mild detergent to break the surface tension of the water droplets, and if they mention "Non-Ionic-Surfactants" they just mean yucca extract.
I can't see how EC and PH come into it really as wetting agents are used in your spray bottle with a foliar feed, not in your nutrient solution.
Save your pennies mate, dishsoap will do the job.

I agree with Harry. If you want to get fancy you could get something like Fox Farm's "Sledgehammer" which is just a yuca-based (Saponin) wetting agent.

A drop of Dawn dish washing liquid works fine...
