Nightvision Googles and Thermal scopes

Hi all,

I´m wondering if someone of you is using one of these toys?

Is it worth to spend 2000-2500 dollar on gen 2 nightvision googles? Can you see enough with gen 1 if you have to go through bushes etc...?

Big + for nightvision googles is that you can see flashes of hidden trail cams, you can´t see that with a thermal scope.

On the other site, people are a lot easier to spot with a thermal scope.
FLIR PS Scout thermal scope cost about 2000 dollar, so price for a thermal scope or for gen 2 nightvision is nearly the same.

What do you think is more usefull?

never bought thermal scope. have used nightvision for a long time . gen 1 works ok but alot of fuzz snow in the picture.

and dont buy night owl nightvision they suck ass.the decent one was from rigel optics, tactical night vision goggles .i had no issues walking around in the dark or even riding my 3 wheeler. thermal scope is more for scanning an area,nightvision is for walking in that area.
