Can THC get into your system by handling buds?

OK, I have a question for you all. I hope this is the right place for it.
I'm currently on probation and get drug tested once a month. I've been trimming a lot of buds lately and was wondering if any THC could be getting into my system by just handling the buds? I try to touch stems only but always manage to get sticky fingers. Any advice is appreciated.

But THC does not readily absorb through skin. Very small amounts can, and really to have any effectiveness you need to make a tincture or salve.

I would also recommend buying single-strip THC tests to test yourself. Amazon has them for about $1 per test. My wife and I are both on random tests and can be called any day Mon-Fri. We are able to smoke a small amount Thursday nights (after we know if Friday is our day or not) and be clean before the weekend is over. We would never take that risk if we couldn't economically monitor ourselves to be sure we would pass the next test. (single panel cups in Walmart/Walgreens/etc are $15+, but really you are paying for the option to send the sample in for lab confirmation).

Having taken hundreds of the simple single-strip tests I would highly recommend them and trust them to be accurate (with an occasional bad one here or there - don't let them sit in a hot car for example).

I know this by my little dog got out, and I wasn't worried at all and kinda thought it quite funny to go on a adventure to find him. when normally he's done this, I was pissed and angry.. haha



I am more guessing what's the worry? job drug tests? don't wanna get high? ....

G'Teed it gets in there. Especially if you eat food after. Anything with any oils or fats eaten with hands after trimming will dose ya. I have learned that to be the only way I LIKE to ingest the active ingredients. no cookies or brownies for me. I eat some olives after trimming and sure enough, in less than 15 mins I am flying.

Wear Gloves is the best advice as per above.

Also agree that you need to wear gloves just in case. For you sake, and for the trichs sake too.

It does affect the bud handlers.....Once at a trim party a non smoker was trimming, and was loaded by the end of the night. He wore no gloves..... I was there...

couple of the trimmers have been noticing effects this year... my jury's still out.. maybe its strain related?

Yes, but does it have to be decarboxylated to be absorbed into your blood stream and processed by your body into metabolites like THC-COOH? I think that's the more pertinent question for the OP.

Your special..... lol.. Really though... I have seen it before.. I don't think man understands MJ 100% yet and until we do there will be questions... On a side note today is the start of the court case ASA vs DEA.. If ASA wins, your answers will come quick enough...

hiya,,,not sure about the skin but sure as fuck gets in your eyes,,hands up who when trimming without gloves has wiped there eye,,after the initial really bad stinging,seem to get a massive rush that put me on my arse,wouldnt advise it,stings a fucker,,,cheers,, peace and safe growing s2

Just wear gloves if you're worried about it.

I prefer nitrile, but really even cloth gloves are going to keep most to all of the resin off of your hands.

im with you, i feel as though ive been had all these years! what was i doing wrong? i never wore gloves so what gives?
