whatever i got LOL right now i use woods. 50/50 mix of perlite and whatever soil i got . like sunshine 4. i have even used miracle grow soil in a pinch. only use a dome in drier times of year as needed. floros for lighting.no powerfull lighting for cloning. i used olivias for a few years before realising it was just weak ferts . i believe this allowed me to refine my cloning process. i dont know why i didnt read the label better . i told so many people to use olivias cause a got super high clone rates. what an idiot i was . sorry guys

I like the clean setup of your tents. Your plants look nice and healthy too. As for cloning, I've had the quickest results with an aero cloner. I had root stubs in about 5 days. Cloning directly into soil it took about 7-8 days.

Thanks for stopping by everyone.

I really, really appreciate the help and advice! :tiphat:

I tried a bubble cloner and I did get nubs on a few but then they just stalled, and most didnt give me anything. My tap water PH varies from 8.5-9 though so maybe that was the problem.

I just took another cutting off each plant, my lone AK 47, both my blue widows, and all three Sweet tooth #3's. I dipped them in rooting hormone and stuck them in a 50/50 mix of plain promix and perilite and put them in 16 OZ solo cups.

Heres what they look like as of today:

Here are the previous cuttings taken. The ones to the RIGHT of the thermometer were taken 10/2-10/3. I still dont see roots poking through the rockwool but they still look healthy and its only been about 6 days.

The ones to the left of the thermometer were taken 2 or 3 days ago.

Do you guys think Im ok to go ahead and flower these girls? I sure need to they are filling up the tent quick! Another week of veg at the most and Im going to have to clean them up and transplant into their flowering containers. Im just worried the clones wont take and Ill have to start all over from seed. Its taken me several months to get to this point I really dont want to start from seed again. All I need is ONE clone of each type to take though.... and I have several of each cut.

Also ... do you think I should keep the new ones in soil in the humidity dome like I have them, or stick them in this space down on the floor of my tent? Its about 24" from the T5's so I dont think the lighting would be too strong.

Inside the humidity dome the temps vary from 80-90 deg because its on top of my T5's.

Down on the floor of the tent it would be from 70-80.

What do you think??

Screw it.... no guts no glory.

I transplanted all six ladies into their final 3 gallon containers and put them in the flowering tent under the HPS.

They are in darkness until tomorrow morning and away we go to 12/12 - God I hope those clones take .. haha.

Here they are in their final containers after transplant - from left to right, AK 47, Blue widow 1 and 2, Sweet tooth A, B, and C:

.......... and here they are in the tent. Six fits nicely!

Blue widow 1 and 2 in the back, AK 47 left center, Sweet tooth A right center, Sweet tooth B and C in front.

I just remembered I have a spare 4' shop light. This way I can keep them on top of the T5 ballast... it really keeps the floor temp of the clone tray nice and warm.

Better .... no?

A few of the rockwool clones are starting to yellow a bit from the inside out (Ive heard this is a good thing?) and its now been ten days since being cut.

The girls in the tent are starting to stretch already too.

Looking promising :dance013:

healthy cuts should not yellow an stay green till roots show. ya wanna hit the ground runnin bro. the shop light is perfect, its what i used when i way sellin cuts. i had four of them with four trays under each. your gettn there bro lil by little. A warm floor under the cuts is exactly what ya want, i used heat mats from hydrofarm.

some strains are stubborn like my jackflash #5 an it can start to lime up headin towards yellow which means its eatin the remaining food in the leaves. at this point when i notice them get lighter i foliar with rhizotonic which has N in it an a amazing rooting product that speeds the rooting process up.

Graces.

Well its 11 days since the first Rockwool cuts were taken and I have roots! The sweet tooth plant A, & B...as well as blue widow plant 2 have rooted. All the others still look extremely healthy so I'm no longer worried about cloning or losing my moms. ;)

The flower tent is filling in fast though. its lights out now but I'm going to have to do some major pruning I think to allow light to all the budsites ... some of which are getting covered by fan leaves.

ill get pics tomorrow.

Thanks man.... now that I got that covered... on with the show. ;)

BTW ...out of the few plants left in the veg tent my super skunk has popped female pre-flowers with the deep chunk X sour diesel and jackberry not showing yet.

Also I just placed another order. fractal strawberry diesel, mosca C99BX1 & old time Indiana bubblegum ... stoked!
