Here is what I thought when reading about your feelings, might be connected to the period when it happens, 4/5 in the morning is when your pinneal gland produces and excludes most dmt and melatonin and these substances are messing up your consciousness and change your awareness into more dreamlike experience, usually that is the period when people would be hard asleep and having the most dreams... just my thoughts on the time when it occurs and what it could be

Mine got blown over and buried by the torrential downpours we had to end the drought also. I was lucky enough to save them.

On another note, learn to love your paranoia, it's there for a reason and will save your ass. It has for me over and over. That "feeling" took a long time to evolve, it is not there by accident and humans most likely would not have survived the early years without it.

Better luck to you in 2013.

i was always slightly paranoid. i also believe in following your gut instinct. bring binoculars next time and go stealth more. i used to go full camo once entering the bush. no bare skin. got real close to quite a few folks without them even knowing

Lol..for a bunch of stoners you guys are slippery little buggers :tiphat:

Ever think that maybe you aren't the only one to think "hey, now that looks like a good place to grow some weed"?

There's probably another paranoid guerrilla grower wandering around the same area getting the same vibe as you.

This made me lol...freakin' growers are in every nook and cranny..shit lol...I can just picture you guys in full stealth mode, straighth navy seal's shit haha..ya boys are crazy man

I have to laugh along with you Blaz3..
but enough pain and suffering will lead a man to insanity. I do some crazy shit man.
Every single pain pill the doctor put me on only makes me sick.. dulling the pain very little. An asprin-motrin-tylenol coctail has the same effect on pain without the sickness, but the pain isn't gone.. it's still there.

I do some crazy shit... enduring painful walks, climbs, work... all to obtain the only medicine that actually makes the pain go away long enough I can remember what relaxation is.

I carry water for miles, dig, walk... hurt like hell while doing so, but the end result (pain relief) is worth it to me.

If the government wasn't so blind to the fact that cannabis is a legetimate medicine I could go to the local pharmacy and fill a prescription for it.

But yeah, after I think about it.. it is funny.. all the pain I endure to obtain pain relief.

D.D. I agree with above poster. Can't you go indoors?? I spent 25 years growing guerrilla up in Maine. Loved every minute of it, especially the connection to land, tree, soil, knowing the terrain, feeling like these are my woods. But alas, now I am in the southern mountains, in a small town. I have scouted areas that would work, not far from home, but its just too risky. So I built a small hidden room and do an indoor run starting every late Autumn. Three cycles works fine, all I ever need for myself. I use twin 250's and do 2x4. I shut down and switch over to vegetable seedlings when it gets warm. By June I am cleaned up and done. Shutting down for summer saves hassle, ends the paranoia, and breaks any bug cycles. I really miss outdoor. I wish i could. I want to. But I can't. I know I am way safer this way and its way easier too. Good luck. Sorry the storm blew you away.

Hello everybody
I sprout , sex , clone , dry and cure outdoors. Had to learn to adapt indoor methods some friends taught me over the years.
Never sold , not even a single joint , not in my life. Grow enough to stop my pain , and have a little left over for times like this , when the weather wipes me out.
I cant grow indoors and risk my home , the home of my wife , the place where my grandchildren play in the summer and on the weekends. The police counts the entire weight of a plant here , not just the medical part. So i am left to under 8 ounces or 4 plants , something I cant do indoors and keep myself in medicine.
Ok maybe i could keep a mother , a plant in veg , and a plant in flower , to harvest a few ounces every few months , but the wife wouldnt understand , the children wouldnt understand , and the grandchildren wouldnt understand why they cant go over to papaws house anymore.
Which would hurt more , physical pain , or the pain of not seeing your grandchildren? The answer is easy fo r me , so i grow outdoors.

I have discovered who it is watching from afar , admiring my work.
Let's just call it bear , thats a good descriptive name.
It even followed me home back in August :yoinks:
Funny how it didnt show up for a few hours after I was back home.
I think it followed my scent , if bears can do that.

So now i understand how i found such a great spot that looks like no humans have been there for 30 or more years. They are afraid of the bears.

Still , the spot is in such a great location , i havent seen any hunters anywhere near this spot , and i have been watching it for a couple of years , and spending a lot of time there this year to get it ready for next years growing season.

That is a picture from earlier in the year. The spot has come a long way.
I ended up using a spudbar with a large rubber coated mallet
to get some of the larger stones out of the way.
This spot is now full of black gold , tarped over in black plastic , and
covered with native soil rocks and grasses. All i need to do is pull
the plastic up and plant next spring.

Nice pics and good info.

How do you cover your foot prints? Do you use tape on the bottom of your boots?

Lx

The best way to cover your footprints is to try and not make any footprints.
I need a way to cover my scent after the curious bear trailed me home . . .
The thought of Police K9s does make me paranoid.

We plant in the canefields of Maui.

I never feel paranoid because my partner, or I, am on the quad, sitting up high up on a hill watching each others back. Should he see security he'll crank up the bike, I'll hear it and know I'm not alone. Then he'll stalk the security guy, maybe even get chased.

Meanwhile I can work uninterupted. I may have to wait until dusk before I'm picked up, so I bring a book along.

We've been doing this for three decades.

A good partner watching your back can make all that paranoia go away.

bears are real smart and will totally double back on you and come up from behind following your ass. you can use carpet on your shoes like the Mexicans do to help hide prints,or just watch where and how you walk.
