I joke that I couldn't afford bubble bags so I bought Bubba bags. My method is very effective though. First mix everything in a separate container like 5 gal bucket w/ no bags. When beaten enough then pour into bags so no beating up bags. Then leave the last bag that takes forever to drain out of the set so instead of last bag you have container full of trich water. Let this sit for one hour or overnight. Then siphon off water off top so as not to disturb trichs on bottom. When you get to point in siphoning when you are about to start sucking trichomes off bottom of container stop. If done properly you have about 1-2 cups of concentrated trich water. This you pour into coffee filter and cone for making coffee and walla good easy hash. I only use two bags of a three bag set when making it so only two grades of hash and only two bags to clean and all trichomes are recovered.

I ran the water at the end of a run with my bubba bags and still got some hash so the seams were leaking trich water. This is the method i came up with to get all trichs. The seams are probably all sealed up with hash by now but I like method and hate the bag that doesn't drain so I find it easy and effective. I am no expert on types of bags. This is the only set (3 bag) I have ever owned and I can't remember brand but not bubble bags.

I used to use bubble bags. Payload, good and durable. They were just what I bought then and otherwise would have gotten the 'bubble bags' brand bags if I bought other bags. Either way don't get cheapies as your micron size will be inaccurate and your material shitty. Also as others mention, do your 'work' in a bucket or bin with no bag and then pour this through the bags for collecting. I no longer use bags as such as although and I used to use at least a 5 bag set for years but now I collect only 2 sizes. My stash has never been of a better quality.
I just pre-filter plant material and ice through a 220. Then a 177 prefilter for the last plant grit and hair and pistils. Then I collect at 100um and 45 um. If your agitation is gentle when mixing you should not collect anything worth keeping below this size if you are using decent starting material. Do many gentle runs rather than beat your material and try get it in one. You don't need a million bags really. To work out what I now use I first used silk screen material of every size and then figured out where I was getting what and with a few strains and where I was wasting my time.
Don't use chlorinated water to make your hash, it makes more difference to the flavors than you think, the terpenes get bleached or oxidised.

220, 190, 160, 90, 73, 45 If you really only want 5, skip the 90
ohh no ,,
dont say skip the 90,
thats my favourite hash there ..
id skip the 190 if i was skipping anything in that line up ...
what happened to the 120 and 25 micron bags??
they occasionally have something worthwhile in them ,
though most of what i grow ends up in the 90, 73 and 45 bags ...

What he said. 190 is only useful to keep plant out and 160 is not needed for collection. I used to collect in 25 but now realize that was mostly broken gland shafts and dust. My process is much more thorough and gentle nowadays and I get nothing there if I try the 25 but cellulose scum. The process I have found is more important than the bags, with my bags now actually retired. Gentle, cold, clean and chlorine free, many times over and no sitting in water. My filtering is now very efficient and effortless so I can just rather run till the good stuff is all off and just remove the gland heads making filter sizing easier and bringing quality waaaaaaaay up!

The 160 bad functions in one of two ways:

1-It collects the larger trichomes, like Bubba Kush. I don't always get something good
from it.
or

2-It further removes contaniments that passed thru the 190

A person should buy an 8 bag set, so they can expierment and find out what works best for them.

When I am lazy, I use 220, 160, and 45

The 25 has too many contaniments. The 25 bag only bubbles. I don't use it. It is usually a small amount, and would barely be worth the time even if it melted.

If you don't use a 120 then it ends up in the 90, that will melt.

95% of the time the 73 bag has the best yield and the best quality (super melt).

90 bag (which is everyting from 160 down to 90), 73, and 45.

I end up vaping all of the melt.

I will post some pictures of what I am talking about later in this Thread, I gotta go trim.

I hear people moan about having to hold up bags to drain, there's a lil trick comes naturally after a while,a jerking motion,up+down a few times and they drain real quick.
This should help with those who struggle holding them, make sure the bags are sealed, twisted at the top,you dont want any spillage.
It helps water escape as on the up the screen is clear,my bubblebags have lasted better than I thought, just a few scrapes on the work bag after all these years, quality bags indeed.
Are there any expieranced BB owners who dont do this?Apart from those who hang them.
Hope this helps as it speeds the process.
peace.

my favorite is the 120/90 bags .. always bubbles the best .... i like to let things get real mature so i imagine thats why the 120 bag does so well. My 90/120 is always better then my 73 used to be the 73 was the best .. then bman added that awesome 90 bag.

yea i was pretty happy when i first tried the "black label" lol

i think due to the sativa influence in my herb ,
i dont do so well in the 120 bag ,
but the next 3 bags are loaded ,
often i get the largest pay out in the 45 micron bag...

You will get quality only by accident by just hanging bags to drain (well not quite that bad).

I lift the sides in an up and down motion, it helps to wash the crap thru.

There is a little more to my method. So I pour the mix in the bags from a work bucket. Rinse out this work bucket, pull out first bag with ice and weed in it put this in clean work bucket and add more cold water to cover stuff again. The other bag and bucket is only half full of trich water after pulling first bag with ice and weed in it out. So I mix ice and weed in new water a little pull bag out again and pour this trich water in with other and if there is any more room repeat. This is to make sure I get all trichs without having to do whole new run.

I may be too late to this game but I know UDG carries bubblebags that are cheaper and I hear as good, think the initials and ask me if you need to. I ordered and got my order have yet to use them but it could be what you are looking for.

I've had a 5 bag set for sometime now. I eliminated the 160 bag from my process (compost tea bag 1). I also bought a 2nd 120 which is used for compost teas also. The green 160 for early season and the red 120 for blooming tea.

I don't think i have the 90. I use 220, 120, 73, 45, (25 too sometimes). I did notice that the 120 makes a nice incence patty. Ill typically mix the 45 into the 73 before drying.

I liked 25u hash from GDP indoor, smaller glandular trichs im sure. It bubbled nicely and had a very dark but translucent look to it. That experience was before i bought my 45 bag.

I highly recoment WackyWilly's, great customer care. Also one of your local head shops may have the Bubblebags. Thats how i scored mine.. walked into the shop and the guy said half off everything in the store. I quikly located a mini washer and five bag set, don't recall what i paid but it was definately a good deal for me.
