Ever had this happen in your micro cab?

H

Hi, please take a look at the leaves and notice the difference between the size of the ones facing each other:

Could this be caused from being crammed too close together? or is this some weird mutation? these are F2's that I made, it's appearing on all the plants, the F1's didn't have this at all!

This is how my cab looks like right now:

Any info will be greatly appreciated :tiphat:

Hi hisser,

Did these leaves emerge at exactly the same time? Our weed grows so fast that timing is an issue.

They look healthy to me, though that last pic may suggest they are too close to the lights. I dont see any bleaching but it may be a little hot.

I might sacrifice a chicken to the growing gods just for safety. Or roll up a fat one and let 'em go.

Hi OO, not all leaves are growing at the same time since I'm seeing some phyllotaxy, but I'm also seeing it at the center of colas, these should be growing at the same time? I'm also starting to notice a couple of leaves growing half big half small (in a single leaf)

They are a bit close to lamps and some leaves are getting damaged by heat but I can't do much about it since they're stretching so fast (been 1 week of 12/12)

Funny thing is I sacrificed some chicken eggs right before I read your post lol

Hi Jaymer, yes they're a bit rootbound, but I used these 2 liter bottles before multiple times and never had this.

Thank you.

I haven't specifically noted this with leaves but that says nothing about whether it has happened for me.

Where I HAVE seen something like this in micro is when one of two opposite branches is closer to the light, it will sometimes grow faster (node wise, not just length wise) than its sibling. I chalked this up to more light stimulating more growth.

Are all the bigger leaves on the light side or is it totally random? In the close up it kind of looked like this was the case, but that's 50/50 :p .

might be a micro defeciency, but it's def not from being too crammed together, i'm the cram motherfuckin master and never in my hundred(s) of plants has that ever happened.

what's the pH?

I'm feeding at 5.5 pH, medium is pure coco, nutes I use are Canna coco A&B, I'm using RO water so I added 0.5 ml/l of canna trace mix along a&b, but recently dropped that for 10% mineral water, maybe the trace mix did this?

Another strange thing, this leaf has 8 blades:

hi hisser:
I've got a micro vert, and some nodes/branches manifest asymmetry in development, one is big and one is small, and this happens not only in branches placed one close and one far from the lamp, BUT even in those facing the lamps at the same distance >> therefore in branches with no apparent difference in light received, as I see happens to you.

I don't know if this is relevant but it's my experience :)
mine are from feminized seeds. I'll check if clones do the same

c ya :) great grow of yours hisser ;)

Ohh! why didn't I think of that! :bashhead: must be when I had the middle lamp set vertically like this:

Thanks for the help sharing your experience rootidec! :thank you:

They look healthy enough to me hisser! I'd continue to watch it closely, but wouldn't worry to much about it. Are you checking the pH of your run off as well? That's just as important as dialing in what you're feeding.

Thanks SpecialEd, I check runoff pH regularly, when I was using Rhizotonic it was going up to 6.5! after I stopped using it now it's 6.0 max, I water once every 2 days :tiphat:
