bobblehead overtakes

Nice results on the last pull. Looks and test top notch.

Glad to hear you're moving on to DTW. Your setup was just not proper for Blumats. All set just in time for another change in seasons.

The best I know of is a guy up here, that runs a Collisium (?) big pink thing, you can buy them pre-made, he runs (2) 1K's in it with 300 plants loaded (do not know strain)...he "regularly hit's 6.5 lbs per run.....I have not heard of anyone doing better than that lately.

6.5 lbs really doesnt seem that difficult when you are running 300 plants... you only need less than 10g per plant to hit those numbers.. with the right strain that shouldnt be difficult.. i am interested in finding out few more details about this guys setup^

sometimes comparing yeilds is like apples and oranges though...if I veg plants for three months and flower them out for 70+ days and yeild 10 lbs that is impressive..but am i yeilding more than someone running staggered crops and bringing in 2 lbs a month..no..

I am a believer that the gpw is a outdated way to measure yield success .. Even if you could eliminate veg altogether the flowering times can still make a big difference ..

Assuming that there is no down time.. You harvest your plants and fill back up same day

FLOWER TIME / YIELD / CROPSperYR / TOTAL

12 weeks ///// 6.92 lb ///// 4.33 /////30lbs

11 weeks ///// 6.35 lb ///// 4.72 /////30lbs

10 weeks ///// 5.77 lb ///// 5.2 ///// 30lbs

9 weeks ///// 5.19 lb ///// 5.77 /////30lbs

8 weeks ///// 4.61 lb ///// 6.5 ///// 30lbs

7 weeks ///// 4.04 lb ///// 7.42 ///// 30lbs

The grower with the 12 week strain is hitting 1.72 gpw..while the grower with the 7 week strain is hitting 1 gpw but neither grower is growing more than the other …and that is almost 3lb difference in yield!!

Start adding in actual veg times and it whole nother story and you can see how it starts to become a complicated comparison

Right now my best numbers is 3lbs with a 7week strain ( which by this comparison is = 3.85lbs with your standard 9wkr) but I am regularly hitting 2.5-2.75.. Still not really where I wanna be but it respectable and I am happy with the consistency of it, plus the effort vs reward is ridiculous …I am expecting better things from my v2 with increased plant numbers and more space per plant etc.. I plan on hitting 4lb(7wks) with my first crop and dialing from there

You been talking to my girl again ich?

My personal best to date is 2.5 lbs per 600. So 7.5lbs off three 600's. That was a tree grow though, I'm still learning and dialing the rack setup, but i'm confident I can get at least 8-9 lbs out of it once everything is in place.

I applaud you for doing the math, and you are correct. For me the goal of 10 lbs is kind of like those guys that grow giant pumpkins. Is it more efficent to grow many smaller pumpkins, sure, but anybody can do that.

Hey Gmax what is the 7 week strain you are using?

SoQuick did run a few different configurations of coliseums... not sure if the pics are still on here or not.
He had a 300 plant one, but that one is foggy in my memory. DHF knows the numbers off it I believe.

I recall his 3000w one though. 600 plants = 10lbs.
3.3lb per 1k. I recall he said it was a shit ton of working getting 600 prime cuts to fill the thing. Maybe his smaller 2k unit came after that.

2.5lbs per 600w is nuts. I only dream of hitting yields like that, but cannot stomach the plant #s. Mister D, You were hitting those yields with ground level trees around an 1800w stack?... or 3 600w in different areas with trees in between (like heath has shown)...your tree room/breeding room?

Props to you guys for breaking barriers. Those are merely fish stories to many, but I've seen whats possible for those who like stacks in their life. ;)

EDIT* - Here is the link (https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=8864) if anyone take a trip down memory lane.

Yup ground level, 5 trees per light, vert dounut syle, no stacked bulbs, but there was twelve 600's in the room at the time. Lots of overlap from other bulbs and the strain made it possible. I doubt a person would ever hit those yields with a single bulb. If you look at the first couple pages of my redemption thread you can see the general outlay of what i'm talking about, only instead of a single 600 with plants around it there are many in a grid pattern. Pack dounuts in until the room is filled wall to wall with all walls and ceiling covered in somthing reflective, sealed room etc. There are alot of finer details that make it work as well as it does. This is how my big garden is currently arranged. Average yield is closer to 2lbs per, but if I really stay on top of everything 2.5 per has been done a few times.

:snap out of it: and quit your :flu:. Next time you have an urge to drop 1600 on a vacation, resist and send that money to the bay/boo for some new genetics . Then get your ass on cracking those beans..... Genetics are a huge part of the equation, more than most growers will ever realize. One other thing, true commerical elites are rarely passed around. I have access to just about any clone only I desire, yet here I am building dedicated rooms to grow seeds out in, ever wonder why that might be?

Is it....

Self-sufficiency is spectacularly stupendous!

or

D generously giving genes for greater good?

My wife informed me it was $2100. That is $700 per day. What the hell, my plants don't cost me that much.

Still I guess my plants don't wash my cloth's or cook for my fat ass. Even though that is woman's work they won't do it.

Honestly a bit of both, but mostly to find a plant with all the attributes i'm looking for. My staple strains atm were selected because of their suitability to tree grows, along with other important factors like potency and taste. They aren't ideal for vert sog though, hence the breeding room and pheno hunt. I'm not a hoarder, i'll be passing out cuts to my bro's once selection is done .

Suppose you have to keep your lady happy if you want her to continue her womanly duties . On the flip side of that coin, if you were to increase your yield another 50% with better genetics, she might find herself on vacation more often..... Trade offs my man, all about the trade offs :blowbubbles:. Instant gratification is the american way though so.......
