Hey there,

I've been documenting my grow in the vertical section during my veg and thought it would be best to start this thread to document the flowering phase...

To make a long story short, I'm a first time grower and I selected some freebies that I got when I purchased seeds from the Boutique. I didn't want to feel bad if they didn't make it. I also started two seeds we found in a bag of Romulan. I planted 12 and got 9.

I'm using Botanicare Coco in Smart Pots, I also have 3 plants in coco/perlite hempy buckets.

I'm using Advanced Nutrients Sensi Bloom, Jungle Juice, B-52, Big Bud, Overdrive and Home and Garden drip clean. I've have used PH Down but didn't notice much difference from when I don't. The AN tech line has told me on multiple occasions not to use it as well so I'm going to go without it unless some problems occur.

I have a veg closet setup in the closet with a 4ft, 8bulb T-5 light.

I moved four of them out of the closet last night because they were getting crowded in there!

They started 12/12 last night and I took some clones and placed them in coco under a 22w cfl...

I did a little pruning to reduce the bushiness of most of the plants to allow the lights to be able to reach more and to increase ventilation. I'll be putting in some bamboo stakes and doing a little LST to pull some of the rear branches to the inside of the circle...

All the plants in the tent have started to show pistils, not showing sex yet but I expect that in the next week or so... A couple plants in veg are also starting to show pistils, I'll replace any males with one of the bigger plants from the veg closet...

I really don't want more than 4 or 5 females, I think I might be able to make 6 of them work though... Then again I'm doing this grow as a learning experiment mostly using information that I have gathered from ICMag.

I'm not really concerned with the genetics or yield from this grow, I just want them to make it all the way through and have some excellent weed to smoke before thinking about which seeds I want to start next but I'm thinking Casey Jones, Sour Diesel (I have those waiting) or Reserva Privada OG Kush or Headband...I don't have any OG genetics at this time but love the stuff I've gotten lately and would buy some of those seeds!

Thanks for your comments! I spent a long time getting everything setup before starting to get it dialed in...

This week Im getting a dehumidifier and going to make a couple of 15G reservoirs to use with a spray wand to make feeding easier... I thought about using drippers but decided against it in favor of hand watering...

Huh, I guess I left out my room set up...

VEG:
2' x 6' Closet
4ft x 8 light 6500 veg light
the ceiling fan blows air in and another floor fan blows on the light and plants lightly
Im keeping the clones in another closet the same size with a 22w CFL over them

FLOWER:
Secret Jardin DR120
Can Fan 8" fan with speed controller
Phat carbon filter
600W light hung vertically with a chain
Honeywell fan blowing up at the bulb on low speed (it works better than high speed)

This is in an 11x11 room in with a 10,000 BTU window unit...the house has central air but even with the windows blocked off it still got over 90 degrees with the HPS light on...with the window unit, the temperature is steady at about 5 degrees over the room temp...

Looks like the dehumidifier is working well, keeping the tent at 45 and the rest of the room at 50 rh...

The temp is the room is 70 and on the tent is a couple degrees warmer... Outside its hit the high 80's, low 90's so I hope the next summer the temps are able to remain low...

We were getting tired of mixing nutes every day and made two 10 gallon reservoirs out of 18g Rubbermaid totes... One for veg and one for flower, any additives can be added to the individual plants...

Took some pictures today... The zipper on my tent broke and we had to use aluminum tape to make it light proof... That okay, I still have the side windows which we like using better anyway...it looks ghetto but it works!

I waited a week for roots to show on the clones in coco and no roots... So, I decided to buy a cloner, local store gave me a good deal on a TurboKloner 24...

I set it up today and the clones in coco had some real small roots, except one that I think I messed up... It had inch long roots and it wilted a little when I put it in the cloner... I know that I will probably regret doing that.., another lesson learned...

I took two cuttings of the plants in veg as well...

Found 3 males and 1 female in the flower tent...

The zipper came off the end after I zipped it up and wouldn't go back on... It sucks, I ended up using industrial strength Velcro and panda film to seal it up...

jr them tents dont last long at all. You find your self looking for light leaks everytime you go near them. :(

Yep, I do look for light leaks every time I'm in there... I won't be able to change the tent out for awhile but I'll probably just make something this time...

Did a little pruning to the big Romulan and some LST to the front of the plant... Added some bamboo stakes to the taller plants...

The Romulan is showing what appears to be buds after two weeks...

I also added Rapid Start to my turboklone 24...a couple of them are starting roots...

yea i notice a few (possibly new) pin holes like evrytime i see mine, just thought id ask re the zip just incase its somethng i might accidentaly do.
hows your honeywell goin man? been considering getting one - almost exact same setup. does it make a loud whine or hum? just gotta crappy desk fan on its back at the mo and its noisy and seems to have areas where it has almost no affect lol
