Smart Meters in Ontario

O

OneTokeOver

Sorry to hear about the legal troubles and I agree that the Smart meters are being installed for 'their" benefit not ours.

As a card holder I have to ask how you got raided and are going to court when you have a valid exemption? This sounds like not only an invasion of privacy but an abuse of your human and civil rights.

Because carded or not, the police only find out its medical at the last second.

IMO judges should have to search a private registry before issuing warrants.

But as it stands now, a med grow looks like any others. In fact its a real testament to how little power consumption matters when they bust grows. considering all the legal medical 20+ lighters that haven't had fire inspection notices or been investigated.

in most cases i've heard of, the charges were dropped so long as med card signature can be proven at the time of the bust.

usually makes it to court though

Could of happened to me too, I decided I was legal as soon as the doc signed and started.

Thanks for sharing the details.

Gotta be careful though.....as is being said. When I first filled out my MMAR, I sent it in and waited for the license to come. The knock on the door comes and there is the mailman. Sign here...which I do, open it and there are my papers I sent in looking me in the face.
Something was filled out improperly in the address section of all things so I had to fix that one line and resend and wait all over again............

I know what it's like waiting and waiting but I am so grateful now that I waited until I got the 'pink copy' seeing what poor ol' Puffy is going through...

So yeah...big lesson there my friend......

Go to your power companies website, no matter who you are with, and at the bottom of the home page, click privacy policy, and read it.You will read all the stuff about how your power company respects your privacy and blah, blah, blah. Look for where it says, your records will be released to the authorities , and look under what conditions.
Each power company across Canada might or might not have the same policy about privacy. Know your rights and have a happy Thanksgiving, to all.

If you don't mind me asking. How long we're you growing while you waited for your card? I'm in the same position as you and I'm getting impatient!!! Kinda just wanna start. Also how big we're your power bills? What was your daily average kwh??

This will stand with all Ins. For example if you want Ins.on the house you own and you would like to grow cannabis in it that would be a bad idea. It would be hard to sell said house and I can't see or have not seen any Ins.company saying yes I will cover this marijuana grow op. That being said if you own a house I would suggest you do your grow in an out building so you have zero hassles of selling your house in the future headband 707
