Hey Guys,

First off, thanks for this thread, helping the community and patients finding their way through all of this is pure gold of you!

I have a couple questions:

1. I previously had quite a severe concussion when slipping on ice and that has made my job a real challenge since the accident. I now have a number of syptoms relative to this accident as listed here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-concussion_syndrome

2. I have a friend who is an older gentleman that has degenerative spine disease. He is in much pain and has experience with this product, loves the fact that its all natural / organic and would like to take this non pharma chem approach.

I am unsure as to which would be the best path for me to take to keep things simple. I would like to grow medication for either him / myself or both of us depending on the best way to proceed or any potential cons.

Can someone please guide me as to what forms I would need to either be the patient / DG / or both patient and DG?

I can't tell you guys how much this plant has helped me in my life, as opposed to all of the potential side effects from pharma chems.

Anyway, thank you much in advance for any help you can provide,

Sincerely,

R3zin

Google health Canada mmar forms. It should get you started.
I am not a DG so this is all I can offer. Good luck.

Just got my license for a "renewal" that went in as a Form A with many changes in under 6 weeks. Can't help but be impressed compared to the 22 weeks I've waited years ago.

I'm currently waiting to hear back from Dr. Gooch if I'll be getting a license or not? Secretary told me 2-3 weeks once they have the fax of all my info from my family Dr.

It's been 2 weeks now, if he calls me this week and says I have XXX amount of plants he's approving for me. Does that mean now have my license to grow for myself or do I have to wait again for something from health Canada and how long is it taking these days? This waiting game is killing me!!!

he'll sign one of 2 forms that you need to send in to HC, along with passport photos

Heya LED......once you send all the forms off to HC, they take around 3-4 weeks but they are getting closer to the 2-3 week mark.

If you call them, the first person you talk to still goes by the old 8-10 weeks statement but if/when they call you back from 'head office', they say they are working on 2-3 weeks once they receive your papers.

Always make double sure everything is 100%. I got my stuff sent back to me 2 weeks after I sent it in due to a minor discrepancy. Sent them back (always use ExpressPost) and 2 weeks later I got my pink sheets....
Good Luck

P.S. you need 2 passport pics...the Dr. has to sign one of them

Thanks vukman. So if the dr gives me the go ahead. Witch I'm sure he will. Has anyone ever heard of someone getting turned down by health Canada to grow for themselves? Or can I at least have the confidence at that point to spend the money on all the equipment I need and get the room all setup???

not true, greenhouse must b fortified and on an, at least 6' solid foundation to b considered indoor. for example a plastic, hoophouse would b considered outdoor...

So I talked with the secretary today. Looks like I qualify for a license!!!:woohoo: now I just have to send them some passport photos and then the Skype interview next week and I'm golden!!!!

Anyone have any thought to my questions above?^^^^^^^

Thanks.

Wait till after your interview/Skype with the dr. Before you run out and buy a bunch of shit.
Reasons are
1. You only talked to the secratary. While she works there and probably knows she is NOT the dr.
2. You don't know how much your gonna have to grow so you don't know what you really need yet.
3. Your gonna have to do the interview and then wait for your papers. Then you have to send them in. Then you get them sent back and have to send em back.

Your easily 1 month from getting going.
Relax smoke a joint and wait.

Ya, was going to wait till after the Skype, what I was asking is if anyone has heard of anyone getting turned down to grow by Health Canada once the Dr. has approved everything?!?

#3, whats this "Then you have to send them in. Then you get them sent back and have to send em back"??? Dont you just send in the papers to HC, and then they send you the license?? I'm pretty sure thats how it works?? Not a back and forth 3 times?
